It was a usual day of everyday in my mundane life ever, that i've been through as a human form and a sudden storm feels likes it was passing by a few seconds and left marks forever.

It's all came from the lips of my very own current master, The Saniwa, about a few moments ago.

"Izuminokami-san, your team will be mobilized to a moment before Battle of Hakodate in order to protect Hijikata Toushizou because the main objective of the Time Retograde Army has been altered lately."

I was remain dumbfounded on my place without even given time to think. What even she is thinking?

Kunihiro even gave his sense of rejection on his face.

"But, master, seriously, this is nonsense." I objected. "I know we have to protect the history but what's the point of sending us there wihout our concern--if you understand what is main topic here."

"That's why, you have to grow up now, Izuminokami. Because i trust you."

I can see an unshakable determination on her face and i can't avoid that. It's certainly so stupid to think that i actually want to run away from my task just now.

My heart still contradicting with my sane mind.

"Okay I..." I'm still hesitated with things but seemingly i got no choice.

"Because i trust you."

Shit.

"Okay, I'm in." Finally my sane self win over my self despite of my heart that still want to avoid any unnecessary meeting with my former master.

"How is it, Izuminokami? The feeling to meet your ex-master?" Tsurumaru spit the words on my face like it's nothing.

"It feels like writing on your own gravestone."

He chuckled but a bit too loud that i guarantee that oldman Mikazuki could even hear it.

"6 of you will be mobilized early at the noon tomorrow. Okay then, if there's no more objection then you all could dismissed."

Izuminokami Kanesada was called once again that day during the after-lunch hour but it's only him and his master, The Saniwa.

Also 2nd team Konnosuke which accompanying him.

"What happened again, Master?"

Saniwa gave him a perplexed look that worries Izuminokami more. She looks like is hesitating about what she is going to say.

"Err..." The shorter hair figure finally spoke up. "Are you really mad about me putting you in this mission....? I mean i know you want to put aside any personal feeling toward you former master but...seemingly you really hate it when it's a direct attempt toward Hijikata Toushizou-san."

That turquoise eyes blinked twice.

"What do you mean, i don't understand."

The Saniwa give Izuminokami a suprised face although remain calm on her place. How dumb and dense this person could be, her slightly rude thought crossed her mind.

"I-Izuminokami-san..." Konnosuke took Saniwa's place to explain. "Saniwa-san try to explain that are you really that annoyed to be put in this mission in order to protect Hijikata Toushizou."

"Oh..." He scratches his back.

The Saniwa wonder what's the different between her words just now and what Konnosuke said.

"So...how is it?" She asked again.

Izuminokami knew that he shouldn't be picky about things but to blurt out of nowhere his objection sounds so awfully childish.

"Actually, I'm annoyed."

He said it without hesitation and give them 3 seconds full of silence.

"Then, should i change the formation--"

"But since Master said you trust me i don't think that i have a choice to refuse either...that thought of mine could aside the second in my consideration, because i want to immediately get useful for the Citadel...and you too."

"That's..." Saniwa amazed with Izuminokami words and beamed with wide smile. "Thank you so much, Izuminokami-san!"

She reached both of Izuminokami's hands and hold them tight.

"Your kindness and consideration for this Citadel's sake shall not be forgotten!"

A slight hint of blush appeared on the taller man face. "N-no need to thank me, Master..." He coughed.

"Haa!" She sighed a long one, relieved.

"Wha-what's wrong, Master?"

"Moments ago i was scared that what if Izuminokami-san actually really mad at me about this that i feel so awfully guilty when i see your face before lunch but now i feel relieved..." Her head bowed down.

"D-don't bow like that, Master. You shouldn't do that!" Izuminokami overly reacted moreover when their hands still holding each other like this.

"E-eh?" She finally lifted her face again. "I'm sorry! I feel relieved so i can't help it."

That moment is the very first time Saniwa's genuine smile bloomed for him.

And on that very moment too, a single unusual thump on Izuminokami Kanesada's chest bumped without the sword himself even realized.
