The next day soon came by, and BamBam was sitting on the grand staircase, looking utterly bored and fidgety. He saw Jackson appear from the archway below, and watched him make his way up the stairs to sit beside him.

"Cuddle." Jackson pulled BamBam onto his chest, wrapping an arm around his shoulder to pull him closer. "I wanna ask you something." Jackson looked into BamBam's face.

"What is it?" BamBam questioned, evidently curious.

"I'm going to a ball tomorrow evening. Would you like to come with me? I'm supposed to bring someone." Jackson asked, stroking BamBam's hair. "I should tell you,, everyone attending is a... someone like me."

"Oh, in that case, I don't know..." BamBam hesitated. He didn't want to be trapped in a large room full of vampires. One is enough.

"Don't worry, I have a plan to protect you. It'll be ok." Jackson kissed BamBam's temple. "Please come."

"Can I think about it?"

"Of course you can." Jackson kissed BamBam's temple again. "Let me know by dinner, ok?"

"Oh!" BamBam shot up. "I have to go and make it!" He made to run down the stairs to start preparing dinner.

Once he entered the kitchen, he gripped on to the counter to think about what to make for Jackson. What ever Jackson has, BamBam eats what Jackson hasn't, aka whatever's left in the pot.

BamBam began drumming his fingers on the worktop. 'What can I make him?' He thought. 'Kimchi? No, he had that yesterday. Bibimbap? No, that'll take too long. Japchae? I guess it'll do.'

He began laying out the cooking utensils when he felt a familiar pair of arms wrap around his waist. BamBam looked over his shoulder to see Jackson's chin on it, a warm smile pinned to his face.

"Whatcha doing?" Jackson whispered. He seemed... unusual... as if he was on a high of happy pills.

"Cooking." BamBam simply replied.

"No, don't. Why don't we just have some instant ramyeon today? You deserve the break." Jackson smiled at BamBam.

"You're being... nice..." BamBam said warily - why was he being so kind? BamBam should've at least receive three beatings today, not to mention being yelled at constantly - but no, nothing of the sort. He was almost being treated as an equal.

Once they'd prepared dinner together (yes, together), they sat down at the dinner table to eat it.

"So, what's your decision?" Jackson stroke up a conversation.

"Hm?" BamBam hummed with a mouthful of food.

"Will you go to the ball with me?"

"Oh um... I suppose I could?" BamBam hesitated - he still wasn't sure if he wanted to go, but what could go wrong?

"That's great!" Jackson seemed happy with his answer. "I have some clothes you can wear tomorrow. I want you to finish up your food and come to bed, ok? I have to teach you some stuff before tomorrow evening." He stood up and walked out of the dining room and up the stairs.

"Hmph." BamBam sighed. He really wasn't sure about what he was getting himself into, but it was better to do what Jackson said, for both their sakes.
BamBam took their cups out to the kitchen before making his way up to Jackson's room. Jackson insisted that BamBam sleeps in his room so he can keep an eye on him.

"Hey sweetie." Jackson greeted BamBam as he walked into the room. "Come sit." Jackson patted the space on the bed beside him, which BamBam plopped himself down onto soon after.

"You know what's going to happen tomorrow?" Jackson asked BamBam as if he was a five year old. In response, BamBam shook his head. "You," Jackson playfully poked the other's chest, "Are going to be a vampire for the night. Just like Jackie!"

"How?"

"You'll be wearing these." Jackson handed a pair of false vampire teeth to BamBam. "I'll help you put them in. You should start wearing them now so you can get used to them." Jackson helped put the teeth in BamBam's mouth. "How does it feel?"

"Weird. I don't know ith I like it." He had a little lisp, which he should soon overcome.

"Hahaha! Come here." Jackson pulled the vampire-in-training into his chest for a cuddle. BamBam would never admit it, but he loved it when Jackson was like this. He felt warm, and comfortable.

"I think you're really... hot... with those teeth in." Jackson said.

"Huh? What do you mean?" BamBam felt confused.

"Hm?"

"You think I'm hot with vampire teeth?"

"I could've sworn I said that in my head?"

"You... didn't..."

"Oh... well... I did mean it." Jackson gave a shy grin, rubbing the back of his neck.

"So, what do I need to learn?" BamBam asked.

"Well, you've got the speaking down. So, I think maybe we could try sleeping with them in. Tomorrow we can try eating with them, then I'll teach you how to walk and speak like I do. Trust me here, sweetie." Jackson kissed BamBam's temple and gave his shoulder a squeeze.

"Ok then."

"Let's sleep now. Come on, lie down." Jackson pulled BamBam onto the bed and covered him up. "Goodnight baby." Jackson kissed the other's forehead before snuggling into his neck.

The next morning, BamBam woke up to the now familiar orbs looking into his own as he drew himself from his dreamland. Stretching his neck back, he was surprised to feel no pain where piercings from previous events once were.

"Mmh... morning Jackson." BamBam hummed. Jackson smiled in reply and kissed his forehead before sitting up, bringing the other with him.

"Ready for today?" Jackson asked BamBam.

"I think so, but these teeth are hard to handle." BamBam pouted.

"It's ok, I'll teach you how to handle them. Shall we start with breakfast?" Jackson lead BamBam out of the bedroom and down the stairs into the kitchen. Within minutes, Jackson and BamBam had began eating some food. Well, Jackson had - BamBam was having a mini fight with his fangs to try and eat.

"Need some help?" Jackson smiled over his food. BamBam slumped down in his chair, a pout on his face. Jackson opening his mouth a little wider, signalling for BamBam to copy, and over accentuated his bite into his food. BamBam did the same, and it seemed to have worked, although it felt stupid and he almost threw his jaw out.

"See? You're doing alright!" Jackson said. "Finished?" BamBam nodded. "Ok, go into the living room and relax for a bit. We still have time before we need to leave."

"Ok. Thank you Jackson." BamBam wanted to make himself seem as polite as possible to avoid any complications with the vampire.

"You're welcome, sweetheart." Jackson kissing BamBam's forehead before motioning for him to leave the kitchen.
