Chapter 1

The world was doing quite fine. The war between the Titans and Gods had been finished years ago and Percy Jackson was known as a hero to all humans, but sadly, his time came to an end as time progressed. New York went back to the way it was and people were happy. Now being the year of 2014, the world had advanced vastly in their technology, thank the gods.

Even though all was good, the Gods of Olympus had been very quiet ever since the war. Word was that Ares, the God of War, was hoping to start another fight, but nothing happened. Even Hades, God of the Underworld, hadn’t been heard from since the war, but people knew the gods were still communicating to one another.

People started saying that Hades, furious the gods were not defeated during the war, started to plot to destroy Olympus, but peace remained in the world. The weird part was that gods even stopped coming to Earth to mate with humans and have demigod children, but then summer came and everything changed.

Lightning started to crash in the sky as dark clouds covered the city. Waves picked up in the oceans. Above in Mount Olympus, the gods were very angry. Apparently, the three brothers Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades, were fighting. Hades was tired of being in the Underworld and felt he should live in Olympus with the others, but the other brothers disagreed with him. Because of their ignorance, Hades destroyed the temple of Zeus and killed many sailors and animals of the sea. Both brothers were furious and wanted to kill Hades for what he had done, but they couldn’t afford another war.

The brothers argued for hours and Hades threatened to kill everyone on Earth to get their attention, but took it back when Zeus threatened to destroy the Underworld and take away Hades’ power.

Hades, furious with them, left Mount Olympus and angrily destroyed object in his path. When he was back in the Underworld, Hades sat in his throne and listened to the screamed of the souls outside as if they were music to his ears. All was good until he saw his wife walk out of the palace and ran out to speak with her.

The souls of the Underworld got quiet as their lord, Hades, walked out of his palace. Hades, being banished to the Underworld by his brother Zeus and Poseidon, wanted to get revenge on those who found him “unfit” to live in Mount Olympus, the home of the Gods. “Why can’t I be ruler,” screamed Hades at his wife, Persephone.

“You’re just a poor bitch that will never amount to anything. Plus, you’re a lazy ass husband. I should just be the God of the Underworld with all I do around here. Not to mention you need to take a bath,” said Persephone.

Hades, furious with her tone, slapped her across the face saying, “Do you know who you’re talking to? I am Hades! Do you know the hell I’ve gone through to get you here with me? You need to appreciate what you have. Before you were with me, you were nothing! I might as well cast you off with the other worthless souls that are kept here.”
