Hello Future Me // PJO Fanfic

Chapter 2

Her mother and papa first took her to Olympus, where she met her uncle Zeus who took great pride in her. Saying she was a wonderful heir. Of course, at the time, she didn't know what that meant. Her papa told her mother to stay at Olympus with Grandma while he took her outside. She agreed after much convincing from both her papa and daughter. 

Her first time outside hurt. The brightness of the sun caused her eyes to water until her papa offered her glasses. She was lead to the ocean next, the color amazing, blue-green water stunning. 

Her papa leads her down the beach telling her about her uncle Poseidon. She was enthusiastic when he offered to show her a place that held others like her. LIttle did she know that when he showed her this place, she'd never get to see her papa again.

When they arrived at this supposed 'safe haven' for people with powers like her, they actually emerged from the shadows. Surprising everyone. Especially since her papa was Hades, he was obviously feared here. The two stood in a large field of strawberries which first drew the young girl's eyes away from the people approaching them. She laughed as she picked one, her metal gloves easily plucking it off, and ate it. Her father didn't pay attention, he waved to the biggest man approaching. 

"Camp Half-Blood." Her papa says and she looks up at him, hiding behind him once noticing the people approaching. 

"Hades." The clopping of hooves and she gasps as something approaches towards them. Remembering her teachings back home, she recalls the name of the half man half horse, a centaur. A large beast which was not ever seen at her home, she rarely saw anything with four legs except for Cerberus, her pet dog. 

"I guess a welcome back is in order." She eyes the centaur suspiciously, taking in the young kids behind him as well. Her father's grip tightens on her wrist as she tries to mold into his black clothing, her own clothes beginning to feel too hot in the summer heat. 

"No welcome in order, just checking in." She stays silent behind her papa as he speaks with the centaur. 

"Just checking in, you've never done that, not for Nico." Whoever Nico was, she couldn't remember, she recalled photos of a young boy and girl which her papa had hidden away after she had found them, but she never got their names.

"This is for a different reason Chiron." The centaurs name causes her to force back a chuckle, they hadn't noticed her yet and she was trying to remember the old horse's story. 

"So what is the real reason you are here?" Chiron asks.

"You must know old man, you've been getting the updates." Her papa seems agitated now, and she tries to calm him by holding his hand instead of by the wrist. Her papa seems to relax and everybody notices, finally analyzing her papa.

"Who's this little one?" She jumps, she hadn't noticed Chiron had moved a bit to notice her, she tried to hide in her papa's clothes again.

"Do not fear him, dear. He is kind and a friend." Her papa whispers down to her, she nods her head softly, before stepping out on her own. She can feel everyone's eyes on her, she wants to hide again, but her papa's reassuring hand in her squeezes. 

"Hello." Her voice is soft and everyone seems to smile, she fidgets with her soft black locks, looking down at her feet.

"Why don't you tell them your name, dear." Her papa whispers again, she blushes embarrassed, she hadn't spoken to people outside of the castle before. 

"My name is Auna Zavie." Her voice softens, finally looking up to meet everyone's eyes, her eyes are a piercing chocolate brown. 

"This is my daughter." Her papa finally speaks up, everyone's eyes fly to him and people look uncomfortable all of a sudden. She reaches up her papa's sleeve and tugs on it, the cold metal of her glove causing him to jump a little. People notice that. 

"Your daughter?" A voice comes from the group, they part and a boy with jet black hair and green eyes steps forward. By the looks of it, Auna notices people respect him greatly.

"Papa...he's a hero isn't he?" She whispers up to her papa, who nods to answer her question.

"Do you remember which one?" She steps forward a bit and the jet black haired boy looks surprised as she seems to read all his features, her eyes locking with his. She gasps and smiles, surprising everyone again. 

"He's Percy Jackson isn't he?!" She laughs and the jet black haired boy, Percy, blushes. 

"Yes, that is the famous Percy." Her papa chuckles. The blonde next to Percy laughs and he glares at her, Auna recognizes her immediately.

"Annabeth Chase." The blonde looks taken aback, watching the younger daughter of Hades analyze the crowd and name off some of them.

"How does she know all this?" Percy asks, her papa doesn't respond, instead, he meets her eyes and she realizes he wants her to tell.

"I will tell you later at dinner," Auna states "But I noticed two of you are missing."

Chiron looks around before chuckling.

"That would be Nico and Will." Even her papa chuckles and eyes her, she looks confused.  

"They are in the arena training." Auna eyes her papa who nods to her, before running off across the field towards the large building where Chiron had first pointed. When she pushes the large doors open, the inside is lightly illuminated by torches along the walls, in the center stands a blonde boy who is turning in circles, sword in hand.

"Will Solace." Auna states, the boy notices her with a yelp in fear.

"You scared me little one,"

"I am not little!" Auna snaps, the boy laughs.

"Nico! Stop hiding in the shadows." A low chuckle vibrates around the arena before a dark-haired boy appears beside Will, looking down at Auna. She recognizes him from the photos, except now he's older and she can't be sure, but it's definitely him.

"You're Nico D'Angelo." She says awed, the black-haired boy fidgets, looking at Will who smiles.

"What's it to you?" He asks rudely, but Will elbows him in the side.

"My name is Auna Zavie....I'm the daughter of Hades."

Yay! Finally got it all out of my journal into here. Hopefully more comes soon and I can keep writing!
