"Kate, I have a bad feeling about this!"
"Pete, for the love of all Serene! Stop whining let's just hurry out of his forest before someone finds us. James, do you even know where we are?"
"I doubt he brought us anywhere, we're in a middle of nowhere! I vote we should we leave now."
"Hey! You planned this whole thing!" Three cats walk on a trail, one looking around with a map in its mouth.
"Come on, let's take a rest and look at that map," Kate suggested with a tired voice. All three cats laid down with a huff.
Kate had a fine orange layer of fur that glowed in the uneasy night, traced by light brownish stripes that run across her back.
James was a normal Siamese cat with brown color with a black face, following his sarcastic and monotone orders.
Pete was a strange cat, he had silver fur that was fluffy and two colors for his eyes, one green and one blue.
James sighed and spit the map out of his mouth, looking at the map that was partly wet from his mouth. His blue eyes looked over that land printed on the paper, trying to find where we are. Pete spoke up,
"That's it! We're doomed! We shouldn't have left the orphanage! At least Sammy's teasing was better than getting mud in my fur." Kate rolled her eyes,
"You wouldn't last a day back there, and plus, it was your idea to run away!"
"Excuse me! But-"
"Quiet! I'm trying to concentrate!" Pete laid back down, followed by Kate who did the same.
"You don't even know where we are..." They spent 1 hour sitting there, trying to find their location...
---
"I got it!!" The enthusiastic voice caught the others by surprise, making them jump from their daydreaming.
"W-what?" Kate shook the drowsiness from her amber eyes, making sure she wasn't dreaming.
"We're nearby to a village!"
"I-is it... a human village?" All of them shuddered, James shook his head.
"It doesn't say... It just says it's called Falcon Den." Pete's tail whipped the air,
"How far is another village?" James scanned the map once more,
"About another 10 miles..." Kate sighed,
"Falcon Den, it is..."
"I have a very bad feeling about this..."
"Pete... If you don't shut up..."
Dark red eyes stared at them, surrounded by a simple outline that resembles an animal under the dark night. A growl escaped its lips, only letting Pete hear.
"Did you hear that?"
"Pete, why are you so paranoid? Come on, it's only 3 miles to Falcon Den, it's not like some "changed" animal can get us." Pete licked it's lip nervously,
"That's the thing... We're basically live bait for changed animals..."
Changed animals were animals that gone feral... Savage, some would say... The whole population was sophisticated, with humans banned and animals prospering, until some creatures got a disease called, "The Change," and they were forced into forests and other separate places in Animia.
"Again, paranoid! How did you manage to step a foot into the forest?" Three cats, no. Three cats and a mysterious figure went through the forest, straight for a rising sun that didn't come.
