Severus Snape was not usually a kind man, but when it came to his god-children, he was more than kind. In fact, he went to great lengths to make sure he cared for them, since he once had a god-daughter, just ten years younger than himself, that thought no one cared, and had killed herself.

At he moment, the said man was sitting at his desk, intensely watching the four first years squirm under his gaze.

Suddenly, he spoke up, startling the five in the process. "I am glad that you are all four in Slytherin. You will most likely do better here than in any other house. I expect you to behave and do not act like your fathers once have." Severus said and then stood, "You're dismissed. Goodnight."
The three stood and made their way out the door and to the first year boys' dorm.

They knocked on the the closed, wooden door, and a few moments later, it opened to reveal a very tired looking Theodore Nott. His dark brown was in tangles and his light, caramel colored eyes were slightly bloodshot. He was wearing a pair of old sleeping clothes, that were slightly disheveled.

"Oi," he started in a scratchy, tired voice, "What took you so long? You were gone for at least an hour. Did Proffesor Snape decide to give you a start on detention or somthing?"

"No, Theo. He just wanted to talk." Draco sighed.

Theodore walked back to his bed decorated with green and silver. The three friends walked into the room to get a better look.
The room was at least the half of the size of the entrance hall, decorated in green and silver. There were eight beds, each with a trunk, a desk, a doorway, and an outlook into the dark, mysterious lake.

They found their respected beds and changed in the room beyond the door, which had turned out to be personal bathrooms. They had decided they would unpack after breakfast, and went to sleep.

In the morning, the eight Slytherin first year boys were getting ready and presentable for the first official day at Hogwarts. Harry had managed to somewhat tame his hair, but it was still a black mess. The four boys walked out together, into the common room where the prefects were waiting to make sure the first years made it to the Great Hall safely.

When the group of Slytherins made it to the Great Hall, the first years saw that the Slytherins were the only house present, along with the Professors. The first years sat at the edge of the table, just close enough to the door, in case something happened, and with the Potters and Black, that almost always happened, and the Slytherin first years knew it.

Soon, the other houses started to file in, Gryffindors coming in last. When Hufflepuff entered, Ron came to sit with them along with Caelum.

Food started to appear on the once empty platters, ranging from Muggle items, such as Apple Fritters and Biscuits and Gravy, to Pureblood items, such as Treacle Tart, Pumpkin Pasties, and Julep Cakes (which were actually just like a pie with a sweet, minty syrup, called Julep [but without the alcohol], poured over them). The first years began to eat. The Great Hall was soon filled with loud chatter.

Once the first years finished breakfast, they decided to go back and unpack. Ron went back with Caelum and the others went to their dorm room.

After unpacking, the first year Slytherins and the Weasley twins went to meet Ron and his new friends, and Caelum and his friends in front of the Great Hall.

Ron introduced the others to Neville Longbottom and Hermione Granger while Caelum introduced them to Alexander and Alexandria Jones,
