My Dream_Part 1

2nd person  p.o.v

You woke up to the sounds of talking, and a familiar smell of hospitals filled your nose. You tried to move your body, and it felt a bit stiff.

Wondering what was happening, you confirmed that your memories were in tact, but you were confused as why you felt like you have been sleeping for an unbearingly long time.

After some thought, you opened your eyes.

(Y/n)'s p.o.v

Ugh... Dude... The light is so bright! I immediately closed my eyes because oh boy did it sting. Well, I suppose I have to adjust huh. So after squinting and blinking a lot, I finally became able to open my eyes. The first thing I saw was a light grey ceiling and... To the right of me, I can see a figure... She looks like a nurse. Is she a nurse..? Confused, I slowly sat up and observed my surroundings.

First and foremost, I must stay calm. Don't panic, (Y/n). Let's see what we're working with.

Okay, so it seems that I'm in a bright room. The walls consisted of dark and light blues, black and grey. Hmm.. It also seems that there are a lot of dark grey wires in the ceiling. Woah. Other than that, there were a few people in the room I was in. The room is actually considerably big. There were other nurses with clipboards, doctors and scientist-looking people. Other than that... Oh woah, are those horizontal chambers or something? Huhh... They seem to be holding other kids and teenagers like me! I could barely see the vital signs on the chambers from where I am.

Oh yeah, the nurses were wearing knee length white dresses with a white nurse hat. Both articles of clothing had the symbol of a red cross.

After my observation, I finally turned to the silent nurse beside my chamber bed. "Um, excuse me, but where am I? Why am I here? And what's going on?" I asked

"You're in one of the safest buildings in this dome city, a hospital and a science lab combined. Safety is not exactly guaranteed here, though." The nurse replied as fumbled a bit with her clipboard and cleared her throat. "Well anyways, you and others like you had been put into a a deep sleep for a few years." She paused and then I nodded.

"To keep the story short, some astronauts found an alien life form in a cocoon on a spaceship that suddenly appeared while orbiting the Earth. Curious, they decided to place it in a horizontal liquid chamber and brought it back to Earth to study. In order to do so, they put a really important scientist in charge of it. However, one day, the life form emerged from the cocoon and broke the glass of the chamber it was in, revealing a huge slimy black monster. Alarms were sounded to alert everyone in the vicinity about its escape. They wanted to catch it, but it managed to get away. Since then, the monster somehow proliferated and is terrorizing humanity as we speak." the nurse finished.

"Ah... Wow. That's a lot to take in." I replied.

"Oh please take your time to get used to things. You just woke up, after all!" The nurse said.

"Alright, thank you." I answered and smiled at her for her kindness. Then, I took a deep breath, and gave a heavy sigh as she walked away.

Okay. So this is REALLY a surprise. I'm... Kind of in shock right now. And I'm slowly but surely, starting to feel frightened and panicked, but I must stay calm. In these kinds of situations, we can't dwell in our feelings too much.

Suddenly, the nurse ran back and said "Oh! I forgot to tell you about your class!"

"My class?"

"Yes! Everyone like you must attend a class about what to do in this new unfamiliar world very first thing after you wake up. Sorry, it's a bit sudden, but I just realised that you're late for class!"

"Huh?! Wait, wha-?!" The nurse suddenly made me stand up and helped me dust my clothes.

"Quickly! Go out through that door! Then turn left and your classroom is at the end of the hallway! It's classroom 2!" She frantically said.

"O-oh! Alright... Then... Thank you for your help, and goodbye!" I said. Afterwards, I turned around and ran out of the door and followed her directions to classroom 2.

Out of breath, I arrived to the classroom and walked to the teacher at the teacher's desk. The teacher greeted me kindly and told me to sit in one of the empty seats.

I scanned the room. There seemed to be about 3 to 5 seats left for me to take. And plus, this room was full of students I don't know. now that I think about it, everyone is wearing the same clothing as me, a dark grey shirt and pants, as well as a pair of dark grey sports shoes. It'd pretty much a uniform, haha.

Then suddenly, the teacher spoke and snapped me out of my thoughts. The whole time, I was standing and looking around so the teacher reminded me to pick an empty seat and sit down so that he can begin the lesson.

Alright, alright. Afterwards, I walked around the classroom, scanning the faces of my classmates and thinking about where I should sit. Then, in the corner of my eye, I saw two really familiar faces talking to each other. 

Oh! Wow, they're here too? What a coincidence! My two best friends! I then noticed that there was an empty seat beside one of them, so I decided to sit down there.

"Good. Now that the last student has chosen a seat, let's start the lesson shall we?" The teacher said. Upon hearing that, my two friends stopped talking and glanced around. They were probably looking for me, the last student, wondering who there are. Well surprise, surprise!  They finally noticed me and realised who I was.

While the teacher was talking and writing something on the whiteboard. My two best friends stared at me, pleasantly surprised to see me. Well, yeah, I would be too. Then finally their shocked faces turned into amazed and delighted expressions. I giggled.

"Hey guys." I said to them. "Yo (Y/n)! We didn't expect you to be here! It's awesome we're in the same class!" (Best friend 1) said, " Yeah it's so cool!" (Best friend 2) said. "Haha. It is and all, but first, we should really be listening to what the teacher is teaching us right now. Y'know, so we won't die? Hehehe." I said.

"Well alright, let's" (best friend 1) said.

In short, the teacher was telling us about what the black creatures were like, what they will do when they see us, how to get away from them, and many more important things. From my observation, everyone in the room were not only curious, but also quite frightened because of the newfound existence of the black monsters.

Suddenly as we were learning about getting supplies and defending ourselves, an alarm sounded. 

"Students! Stay calm! A black creatures has been spotted, coming over here as we speak! So class is dismissed. Do your best to seek shelter, everyone! Remember what I taught you in these short hours! Go go go!" After that speech, everyone ran out of the class room in panic. There were screams and running footsteps everywhere!

To be completely honest, I was really scared, but rule number one of survival, we must stay calm and assess our situation and surroundings. Firstly, we need some supplies. While the alarms kept on sounding and the red lights kept on flashing, I looked around in urgency when I laid my eyes upon what seemed to be a backpack corner with the students' names on them, even the ones which had my name and my bestfriends' names on them.

The teacher must have forgotten to tell us about them. Well, anyway, we don't have time for dilly-dallying so I shouted at them about that piece of info and we took the bags. As we were about to run out, one of the monster alien things found a way to our classroom.

In panic, we ran as fast as we could out of the building we were staying in. Afterwards, we scanned our surroundings and pondered about where we could go to be safe.

When we finally recognised the area we were in, we instinctively knew where to go for shelter. One of my best friends' house was nearby so we decided to run there.
