We had made it to Miami early on Friday morning. It was a quick plane trip. I mean Louisiana isn't that far away from Florida. We came in showered, rested up and now it was 12 in the afternoon. We were around the pool.

"You like it here?" I asked, sitting next to Kar as she rubbed sunscreen all over her round hips.

"I like it. It's a lot of sun too." she answered, as I took the sun lotion and poured it in my hands and rubbed it on her body. "Aug, don't get sly." she laughed as I got closer to her ass.

"I'm not." I said as I slapped her ass.

"Aug!" She yelped.

"It's just calling me to do it." I laughed. My phone started to ring and I looked at the caller it was Rose. I picked up the call and went for a walk around the pool.

"Whatchu' want?" I said, dryly into the phone.

"Aug... I'm pregnant." She said into the receiver.

I sighed deeply, "Man that ain't my baby." She paused.

"Aug, you're the only one I was with. The doctor said I was a month. C'mon now!" She screamed.

"Man, you know damn well you was smashing the squad a month ago." I stopped, glancing at Karlie who was getting into the water.

"Don't fucking play with me, Rose. I told you we were over and now you wanna pull a stunt!" I said, being careful not to raise my voice.

"I'm not playing August! This is your baby! You're going to take care of me and this baby WE are bringing into the world." She cried.

"When I get back, be prepared to go to the clinic!" I said, as I hung up the phone before she could respond.

I was in the shallow end of the pool. August was on the phone, and I could tell by his eyes he was pissed off. He took off his shirt and made his way into the part of the water where I was at.

"Wassup?" I asked looking him in the face.

"Nothing. Just some stuff back home." he said, fanning me off.

I dipped under the water until it was at my neck then I came right back up "You sure?" I pestered.

"Yeah I'm good." he said. "Let's get wet." he said, before going under the water pulling me into the deep end.

"I can't swim well Aug!" I shouted.

He laughed. "I gotchu' ma." he said. grabbing ahold of me.

I just looked at my phone. I know August didn't just tell me I was getting a damned abortion. I'll be damned if that's so, this baby is my damned meal ticket and I'm going to make sure he takes care of my baby. I don't give a damn if we broke up! I went into my bathroom slammed my head on the sink. Blood started to come down my nose. I did it again and bruised my face a little bit. I smiled at myself. "Perfect." I whispered to myself.

I grabbed my phone and called the police. "I need an officer at 56 and Magnolia right now. My ex just hit me! Please hurry!" I screeched into the phone.
