I shot my crossbow at the zombie in the doorway. The arrow went straight through his right eye killing him instantly. "Bulls eye!" I said punching the air "Jason, you know I hate it when you kill them things" my annoying little sister Alice said disapprovingly. "Yeah would you rather I killed them or they killed us" she walked away in a huff because she knew she couldn't win.
I went back to my tent and was floored by my girlfriend Rose hugging the life out of me. I hugged back "are you ok?" pulling back to look at me "yeah". At that moment everything went in slow motion, I stared at Rose with love.
FLASHBACK
When the virus struck, Mum and Dad were on holiday and I had to take care of Alice, right now she was sleeping. I invited Rose over. When Rose arrived it was 11:00, we put on Nightmare on elm street. We fell asleep togather half way through. I woke up hearing people screaming outside, I got up gently careful not to wake Rose.
Outside was chaos, people running and screaaming in different directions, cars turned over and set on fire. It looked like a war raging outside. "Jason? Whats going on out there" she mumbled, " somethings wrong"
"ALICE!" I ran up, Rose following close behind me. I barged through the door to see Alice turning in her sleep, "Alice c'mon get, NOW!" I yelled. She jerked awake, "Jason whats wrong" she mumbled "get up, get dressed".
I heard the back door getting broke open "Jason!" I know that voice! "Jay! up here!" I shouted back. He ran upstairs with 2 people following him. He opened Alice's door, with a shotgun in hand, his brother Charlie and his twin sisters Amy and Claudia following him. Charlie was carrying a pistol.
"WOW! What the hell man put that thing down" "no time man, get packed. We have to leave now!" "why?" "Its crazy out there, people are mad and turning into cannibals. Now where did your dad keep his gun"
