Mud Puddles (Richie X Reader)

WHAM!

Henry Bowers had your face in the mud yet again, the rain coming down softly. He was always teasing you because of your mixed race.

"There, now your in your proper place, you filthy bitch" he sneered, cackling along with his ugly little friends.

You began to cry, why was he so mean? Was nobody going to come and help you? Why weren't there any teachers around?

"Shove off, Bowers!" Came a voice from across the schools front yard.
Henry's eyes narrowed "oh look who it is, precious trashmouth to the rescue"
You gasped. Richie had come to save you? Richie Tozier? He didn't even know you at all, you two barely spoke even though you were in the same History class.
"I said leave (Y/N) alone!" Richie said, standing right in Henry's face.
"Make me, Tozier, (Y/N) deserves what she's getting, she's filthy" Henry said.
And so Richie kicked him right in the balls, knocking him over in pain, Richie quickly helped you out of the mud, the two of you dashing down the street, as Henry's friends chased after you, they finally gave up after a few minutes, you were too fast for them.

"Thanks for the help" you said, looking at your mud covered clothes, what would you tell your parents?
"It was nothing, little shit deserved it anyways" Richie replied smiling "I'm Richie by the way, Richie Tozier"

"I'm  (Y/N)."

"I know."

You tilted your head "how do you know me? We've never spoken before"

He shrugged "I've just.....seen you around and shit. And maybe that should change. Friends?"
"You can't really not be friends with someone who helped you out of a mud puddle" you replied,laughing.
Richie laughed too and together you walked each other home, since you both lived on the same street.
It was the start of a beautiful friendship.
