Remi looked towards the curtained bed in the corner of the room. She didn't dare to draw the curtains open and look at the victim incase she caused any troubles. From her direction, she could only see a few wires sticking out that made soft buzzing noises. Else it was dead quiet. The lightbulb in the ceiling blinked twice, and the room immediately became a lot darker. Remi sighed and looked at the dim lightbulb and pulled a wooden chair and sat down. 'What was Clarence up to? The 'secret experiment' had costed a fortune, roughly a million dollar.' She thought.

Footsteps were heard outside the door. Remi heard a key turning and saw Clarence burst in and walk towards the curtained bed and pull a few wires away from the victim. Remi watched in this in silence and stood up to leave.

"Stop Remi, we need to talk." Said Clarence.

Remi sighed and sat down again, gave him a look that meant, "Go on."

"You have seen the curtained bed in the corner of this room right? My latest experiment." Clarence said.

"So what's wrong with it?" Remi asked sacastically. "I wonder if you had noticed how this room became much darker since you last arrived two days ago."

"Alright, calm down. I will change the lightbulb. But listen." He paused. "Do you see this?" He asked, fishing out a black chip with blue and green design on it from his vest pocket.

  "I have eyes." Remi replied.

"I can see that." Clarence said, annoyed. "Well, I have found someone to work this on."

  Remi gasped. "You mean...."

The two scientists looked at each other in silence.

Remi looked away and walked towards the door.

"Where do you think you are going?" Clarence broke the silence.

"I can't stay, Clarence. I just can't. It's too insane to take one's life and turn it into a..." Remi paused in search for words. "That."

"No Remi. I have worked for this very moment. Have I ever told you that he destroyed my life too? Comepletly! He framed my parents as murders, Remi. It will be good for him too. After all, now that he is a plant person, it would be wonderful for me to fix him. Who wouldn't mind a perfect man? Clever, handsome and rolling rich? Look from my view Remi. Look." Clarence shouted as he grabbed roughly by Remi's shoulder. He look very eerie in the shadows of the darkening labotary.

"No! This is insane. It's unnatural. Just because his life had destroyed yours, you should not play him like this." Remi whispered, covering her mouth with fear.

  "Look Remi, Look." Clarence repeated.

"And what do you plan to do with him?" Remi tried to calm down.

"I thought you could've guessed." Clarence sighed. "He will kill, partner. He will kill until everything in this miserable world is destroyed."

  "Clarence..."

"But he chose it. It's too late now. He will destroy everything as planned. Then, I shall be the last human to rule."
