The funny eldest member of Astro is MJ, and he is, what everyone likes to call him, “a happy virus”.
He was born in Suwon of Gyeonggi-do province in South Korea in 1994.
Pursuing his dream of becoming a celebrity, MJ won a scholarship in the JYP Audition, which let him attend Seoul National University for one year as a starting point.
MJ is known for being the humorous one in the group, but he’s also the one who encourages others no matter what.
Other members say that he’s sometimes acting weird, but overall, his personality is like “4D”, and he’s always nice to be around.
He is the strong main vocalist and the dancer of the group, and he participated in JYP auditions when he wanted to test out his singing and dancing skills; he didn’t win, but he was given a lovely prize – a scholarship at the National University of Seoul.
