I actually got up this morning on time. I put on my grey sweatshirt instead and I don't feel like complete crap. Morgan and I have been texting all weekend and we're going to skip the last two classes and go hang out without Jack-ass knowing. Morgan makes me feel like a bad girl, strong and unstoppable. Even kind of happy also. My mom is In a good mood and decides to stop and buy me coffee for getting up on time. I head to school reading the good morning text from Morgan. Responding, I walk into the cold school, and head to the cafeteria to eat some food for the first time in a while. I sit down and start to before I get a bite a strong hand grabs my shoulder. I turn around, it's Jack. "Why Is your hair nice today? and the bigger question is why haven't you answered my texts all weekend? You were supposed to do my laundry Saturday!"
I smiled and laughed at Jacks words. "oh sorry. I actually have a life outside of you little you may think!" Jack grips my shoulder a little harder and harder by the second making his way to my upper arm, starting to pull me away from the crowd. "Hey Jack ass let her go!" Yells Morgan from across the cafeteria, while everyone follows him with their eyes. Morgan runs to me and pulls my sweater a little down past my shoulder and sees all the bruises. Jack laughs once Morgan looks me In the eyes with a pity look. Without hesitation, Morgan walks up to Jack with his chest out, Jack looks at him with laugher. Morgan lifts up his hand and punches Jack right in the nose dropping his backpack off his shoulders. I quickly run to Jack and kneel down, lifting up his head, and using my sweater sleeve to help stop his bloody nose. "Morgan why would you do this?!" Morgan looked at me with complete passivity. "Lynn, don't act stupid you know exactly why, I don't know why you put up with his shit. Maybe one day you will be smart and actually leave him for good!" Morgan picks his backpack up, bumping shoulders with the crowd that surrounded around us once Morgan and Jack were face to face. As the day goes by I can't help to think about how bad I felt for being so inconsiderate to Morgan when I know he just wants to protect me.Lunch came and my happiness was washed down the drain, so I made my way down the music hall, looking around if it was clear to make a run for it. Eventually making it outside in the parking lot, I walk over to Morgans truck. Looking through the driver window, only seeing his vape sitting on the passenger seat. "Trying to break in?" Morgan says while walking up to his truck door. "Morgan I'm sorry, if I let Jack think I don't care I'm scared what he could do to me. I know I should of told you, you just make me so happy. I just don't want to become your problem." Morgan walks closer to me with his black Oakley jacket, and that light cologne smell that I love. Bringing me to lean against the driver door he grabs my hand that's level with my thigh, while looking me in the eyes saying. "Lynn, I'm not afraid to kick ass, and if that means that will make you happy then I'll do it. You're to beautiful to not be smiling, I care about my people." I smile and look in his beautiful blue eyes, he leans In closer and kisses me on the cheek while opening up his door behind my back. "Now how about we skip and go somewhere else?" I grab his steering wheel pulling my self up, as I crawl across to the passenger seat, picking up his vape as I take a long hit, holding my cough in. Morgan turns the truck on and laughs "Have you been practicing without me?" I laugh while my eyes start to water, and tears stroll down my cheek. Morgans smiled so charmingly and laughed while wiping my tears off my check telling me it's okay and not to cry. As I look into his beautiful blue eyes I think to myself what did I do to deserve someone like him in my life? The whole 20 minute drive I was singing along to the rap Morgan loves, Quietly hearing his singing, a guy who can sing is so damn attractive. He pulls up to an old abandoned junk yard, and shuts the engine off. I scan my surroundings seeing old graffiti, broken glass, old beer bottles and splattered paint all over the old broken concrete. In silence we both sit, looking around enjoying the complete silence. Finally, Morgan quietly says "you know I come here a lot.... even though it's forgotten about and people think it's trash and treat it like it is, it's very unique and beautiful to me." While he explains to me times of when he's came here, I lean over on Morgan's lap and rest my head. Putting his hand on my hip and the other lightly running his fingers through my thick blonde hair. I close my eyes and smile slightly, enjoying the comfort and peace. Being around Morgan I feel so safe, like nothing can hurt me, as I slowly start to fall asleep.
