The Mate he Never Wanted

5 Years

After our run we all were still really hyped so we went out for lunch at my favourite café  Cookies 'n' coffee. Their brunch sandwich choices are all just so good that it was very hard to choose what to have.

After about 5 minutes I had decided that I wanted to have the chicken parmesan wrap with a chocolate chai tea latte. It tasted like Heaven.  We got a table in the corner by the window where we all just started talking about the newest music, movies that we wanted to see, and the one that we all really got talking about was school. 

Malcome has been out of school for a couple of years now, and he ended up meeting Anna in their last year of high school. My sister Molly is the second oldest and she had known her mate Isaiah since they were in diapers so it was no shock that they were mates.  My other brother Mason has also found his mate. Her name is Octavia. They met when they were 17 the same age that Marshall and I am right now.

You shift when you are 10, but when you turn 18 you can finally find your mate. Marshall and I are turning 18 in another week and I am really excited and nervous, I mean, if we end up finding our mates what will they think of our wolves and us, but then the negatives come around. We start thinking, what if he rejects us? what if he thinks that we are not good enough for him? At the last thought I mentally become depressed, and tune back into the conversation, and right on time too.

"Yes!!! I'm thinking a huge party, with streamers, balloons, lots of food, and we invite everyone in the  pack! What do you think Maralyn??!!" Maggie asks me?

So I think for a couple  seconds  and ask her "you want to do what???"

Throw you the biggest Birthday Party that anyone has ever seen! she says with so much enthusiasm , that it makes  me feel a bit guilty for what I am about to say next.

NO! I don't agree with that! Not the whole pack and not that crazy! then I turn to my brothers and tell them, Besides some people from the Blood Moon pack are coming down that night, apparently the alpha has some important things discuss with our father. so you know what that means right. the alphas son will be there and I will be in my room.

The alphas son and I don't have the best relationship in the world. were really good friends at one point, and were almost more then that  for a little while. When we were 12 he had asked me out  to the movies to see the new X-Men movie that was coming out, because he knew that I love the X-Men movies. After the movie we walked back to the pack house where he asked me if I would be his girlfriend. I said yes because I really liked him. It was all really good until a few weeks later when he had to leave he told me that he would call me sometime. I waited for him to call for a good month and a half. But he never did, and it broke my heart because I really trusted him. he left on October 21- and I waited till December-15.

I found out on December 20 that his whole family was going to be coming to our pack for Christmas because they needed to discuss some very important matters and that they would arrive the very next day.

That was 5 years ago.
