Poetry collection- OnGoing

This Light

Here in this room
There is very little light
Yet in the darkness something shines so bright.

More beautiful than the moon shining from above.
Stronger than the sun in the middle of a summer desert sky
Hotter than the flames down in hell
More gentle than the clouds that watch over all.

What is it you might ask
Is this amazing thing I am trying to describe.
Something more amazing than any words I could  ever  find.

It's you.
Your heart. Your soul
Something most people don't ever get to see.
Something that I hope is only for me.
If youll allow me of course I'll take it into my hands.
And cherish it for a lifetime and beyond that even if I can.

I hope that to me you can entrust, this treasure that's worth far more than gold.
I know that it's fragile,
And I don't mean to be to bold.
But I promise you that I'll keep it safe from harm till I'm old.

If you entrust it to me then I'll trust you with mine. To have and to hold till the end of time.

Don't mind the crappies of this I haven't written anything in so long I'm rusty as all hell
