We were smoking with some revelry where Slate said, "Watch this," and she pulled up her shirt where I could see the most hottest part of her body.  She let cigarette on her stomach and held it there. I just watched, and it seemed like she held it there forever, I yelled, "That's crazy, Slate, you'll have a scar." She said, "Pain gives us meaning, Billam." Her abdomen started to look really bad, glowing bright red.

*Alarm buzzes*
Goddamn, I'm so late like always.

I went off, take a shower, grab a bag and left straightly for college.
The sun was at its edge, I could barely walk with this unpleasant numbed sensation, but again I have to. Finally, let me see much more unwanted masks I never want to stare.

"We need to talk."
Scarlett stopped me.
"What do you want?"
"Poor little captain."
"I said, what do you want?"
"Well, I want you to stop seeing Slate."
She whispered in my ear.
My forehead lifted.
"Or else, I will rip your heart."
"Are you seriously threatening me?"
"Consider this as a threat."

Such a Lucifer who just stepped in my way, and threatened me like it's gonna work.
"You're a bitch." I yelled.
She middle-fingered.

And, the next moment I hit by Slate.
"Ouch."
"I'm sorry Slate."
"Were you talking to Scarlett?"
She asked.
"Not you, please." I quit

During the "Civil War" of 1946, Scarlett was still looking at me with her green squinted eyes, just like I said, central of attention. On the other hand, my faultless, young Slate, looking innocently at her parchment. She was wearing tight white pants and a bright blue halter top, spike-heeled silver sandals.
I stared at her, it was either a smile, or a full blown laugh, but nothing in between. In my way, I was staring at a pillar of light who knows how to knot a blinding ray.

"Quiz tomorrow."
  Sir Alaric just announced.

Before I could pack my bag, Slate had already left. Maybe she was planning to wait me to death. Or, maybe she was out back at the pool, grilling hamburgers and drinking cold beer while I stood around out front trying to look tough.

I walked back along Mulholland and around Asano's ridge to a fire trail, and followed it away from the road. The fire trail angled down into a little erosion gully, then slowly wrapped around the ridge toward Asano's estate. It flattered out across the ridge crest and came out behind a little concrete retaining wall. I scrambled up the slope and the concrete wall and found myself standing by a pool.

"She's hot." Ric smacked my chest.
"I know, I wish I could tell her."
"C'mon, you're not a lone wolf here."
"Captain can't have all sex by itself."
"Haha, Billam."
"We are guys, Billam. Don't play too hard to get. Be easy on yourself brother."
"I wonder what is Scarlett up to."
"What do you mean? Is she being neurotic now? Haha, Bilam, seriously?"
"She's looking for something diabolical. She doesn't want me to see Slate."
"And, seriously are you gonna espy now?"
"I don't earn harm to Slate. She had been there for me when no one else was. I can't lose anymore friend."
"I understand."
"I'm glad."
"Why don't you tempt Scarlett? Like she have been playing enough with her toys. Show her something, pay her back."
"I'm wuss, Ric."
"I have your back, just don't worry. Make her penitence, so she could think twice before stopping someone's way. If she's extremely hot, it doesn't mean she scored us."
"Thank you, Ric."
"Welcome brother."

I looked at the pool, decking was stained, cracked and, kind of need repairing. The gate was about to close so I grabbed my bag and headed to home before Scarlett eavesdrop my collude plan.
