Chapter Seven:
Harry’s POV:
It didn’t take much to convince the gullible Sarah to attend Claudia’s “Big Summer Bashtacular.” She came up with the name, not that you couldn’t already guess. It’s too American and blonde for anyone else. Anyway, like I said, convincing Sarah to come to the “Bashtacular” didn’t take much effort or time. All I had to do was pull out the “pretty please it’ll kill me if you don’t” card and bring out the pouty face. She knew as much as I that she was a goner once I flashed the pouty face. She couldn’t resist. No one can.
I sat at the big kitchen table waiting for the annual party to begin. Due to lack of other activities, I pulled out my phone and began to slowly scroll through my Twitter feed. After reading through a few other Tweets, I smiled spotting a recently posted selfie of Sarah’s. She had posted it only ten minutes ago from her bedroom. It was captioned, “Party time :)” Her hair was pin straight and pulled back a small bit on the right side. I could only see down to her mid-stomach, so I only caught a glimpse of her outfit. From what I could see, she wore a white flowy tank top with an American flag that faded as it spread out across the white background. Her pretty blue eyes shone brightly in the light projecting from the bedroom window behind her. Her (unneeded) makeup was applied to complete perfect and her smile was flawlessly gorgeous. She had a half of a dimple peeking out on the left side of her smile. And I could just barely make out the long scar on her left eyebrow/cheek. I have always known it was there, but I never wanted to say anything about it. When people have scars (physical/emotional) they want to keep them hidden. But even with that scar, she is the most beautiful girl I have ever seen; inside and out. I continued to scroll through my Twitter feed until I heard a small knock on the door. I ignored it at first. This was not my house. That door was not mine. The knocker was none of my business. That is, until I heard Claudia shout from her bathroom.
“HARRY! COULD YOU PLEASE GET THAT FOR ME? THANK YOU.” She shouted before I could even reply.
I sighed loudly before hopping off of my chair and walking quickly to the door. I looked into the peeky hole and spotting Niall and Maddie laughing at each other outside the door. I opened the door for the both of them.
“Hey, bud.” Niall greeted as Maddie gave me a small “Hey!”
“Hi, guys. You’re just in time to watch Claudia freak out on her outfit and appearance. Welcome.” I chuckled.
“Glad to hear it,” Niall sarcastically replied.
“We’ll start to, uh, organize the kitchen. Eat the surplus of food.” Maddie laughed.
“I am in.” Niall agreed taking her hand and pulling her to the kitchen, dodging the party tables.
“Have fun, lovebirds.” I teased, sitting down on one of the extremely uncomfortable party table chairs.
I switched from Twitter to Instagram and decided to take a selfie while I was- in fact- alone. I switched to my “selfie cam” and pulled a “what?!” face. I snapped the picture and decided to pick the Skyline filter. I captioned the pic with a cheesy party joke before posting the picture and spending the next few minutes scrolling through the feed. I heard another- much louder- knock on the door and lifted myself from my chair to answer it. I already knew who it was by the laughing and loud speaking.
“I swear I didn’t mean to make him cry, but he was being so sarcastic!” Jocelynn laughed.
“I’m sure he’s okay, babe.” Louis chuckled, kissing her forehead.
Before they started kissing in front of my eyes, I opened the door and let them in.
“Hi. Come in.” I stated.
