I looked out my window when it began filtering sunlight into my room. It's Monday. I hadn't slept at all last night. They wouldn't shut up.

Stop behaving like a twat, shithead.

I'm sorry, they wouldn't listen to me.

I sighed and dragged myself out of my room into the bathroom.

Happy pills time.

I opened the cabinet and took out the two orange bottles. Popping the caps off, I poured the prescribed amount of each into my hand before throwing them in my mouth.

They don't work anymore, Niall. Why don't you tell Dr. Jean?

Because it proves he's crazy as fuck. Normal people don't hear voices.

They all started laughing and I clenched my fists. I hate when they get like this.

I stripped my clothes off and got ready to take a shower by turning the water on. Using my hand I measured the temperature before stepping in. Standing under the warm water I kept my head bowed and stared at my feet.

Are you still sad, Niall?

"Stop fucking talking to me." I muttered grabbing the shampoo bottle and squeezing some into my hand. I began washing my hair violently as if it would make the voices go away.

I finished my long shower and quickly put on deodorant and cologne before getting dressed into long khakis and a dress shirt. I ran a hand through my hair, grabbing a jacket and ran to the kitchen. It was 7:55am and I had to be at work at 8:00am.

You're going to be late.

I grabbed a granola bar from the pantry and opened the wrapper stuffing it in my mouth. Picking up my cars keys and wallet from the table I ran out the front door, locking it, before getting in my car.

I looked at my tired eyes in the rear view mirror and rubbed at them, yawning, before starting the car and backing out of my driveway.

My mind drifted as I drove but I was able to notice the lady crossing the street before I could hit her and slammed on my brakes at the stop sign.

Already trying to kill people, Niall?

I sighed and rested my head against the wheel for a few seconds before driving again as the lady made it to the other side.

By the time I reached work I was already late. Liam was probably fuming. He hates when I'm late.

I work at an insurance company.

I went into the building and used the elevator to get to my floor. I could see Liam pacing in his office from across the room. Scurrying along the wall, I made my way to my office in hopes of not being spotted by him.

"Horan!" I heard him yell angrily.

Well shit.

I turned around and faced him.

"This is the second time you're late. I don't do well with people arriving tardy. I'm sure you know that. So make this the last time." He told me sharply before turning around and marching into his office.

I rolled my eyes and stepped into my office, sitting at my desk.

He should be one of the first people you kill when you go full psycho.

Yeah, he's annoying as fuck.

I flinched in my seat and gritted my teeth as I held my head in my hands.

"Shut up." I whispered angrily.

When it was finally time to leave I grabbed my jacket and shut down my computer. Making sure everything was in its place, I left my office and the building to go to my car.

By the time I made it to my session at the hospital I was drained of energy. I spent the entire car ride refraining myself from slamming my head into the windshield purposely.

I parked my car and left my jacket in it before locking it. I began walking towards the hospital building when I noticed Elizabeth doing the same. She was in front of me and when she dropped her belongings I felt obligated to help her.

"Oh hi," She told me breathlessly brushing hair away from her face as I crouched down to her level.

I blushed.

"Hi."

"Visiting your aunt?" She asked as I handed her her notebook.

I nodded and stuffed my hand into my pocket as we stood up.

Liar.

"We can walk inside together." She smiled at me.

I nodded again and we continued. She spent the short walk there telling me about a patient she's been helping along with her teacher and how he was making progress. He had dissociative identity disorder.

When we made it inside I said goodbye by giving her a nod of my head.

She waved and I went into Dr. Jean's office. I found her already sitting on the couch across from me.

"Hi, Niall dear. How are you?" She asked smiling.

I smiled back stiffly and sat down onto the cushions.

"Ok so anything new for me?" She asked clasping her bony hands in her lap.

I shook my head.

"Niall, you know you can tell me anything. I'm here to help you."

I nodded.

"If this is all our session will consist of and there's nothing wrong then I guess you can leave early." She told me writing in her notepad.

I nodded again and stood up before making my way towards the door.

"Niall?" I heard Dr. Jean call.

I faced her with my hand on the door handle.

"Be safe." She smiled standing up.

"You too." I nodded at her before leaving.

I reached my house at 4:32pm and threw myself on my bed moaning. I was so tired.
