"Yoongi, wake up! I made you some breakfast!"

A mint green-haired boy slowly opened his eyes after a long night's sleep. He sat up in bed, outstretched his arms with a yawn, and grabbed his phone. As soon as he saw the date, his expression dropped.

Today was the day he would be moving from his hometown of Daegu to the unfamiliar city of Seoul.

He let out a sigh and reluctantly got out of bed. Let's hope this is all a dream, he thought, as he slipped on a white shirt and pair of black skinny jeans and walked downstairs to greet his mother.

"Morning Eomma." The grumpy boy said as he sat down at the small wooden table equipped with two seats in the kitchen. Yoongi's petite mother made her way to the boy with two plates of eggs and toast and set a plate in front of Yoongi.

"I'm not hungry." Yoongi muttered. His mother tried to keep herself calm, as she was uptight and nervous about the move. She and Yoongi's father had recently divorced after he cheated on her with another woman, and after he left to live with his new lover, Eomma Min decided it would be best for her and her son to move to a new city and start off fresh.

"Yoongi, you're always hungry." His mother said while examining her toast. Burnt again; she's never been known as a good cook, and especially with the recent lack of money for groceries because of the divorce, she isn't able to prepare good meals.

After a long silence, Yoongi finally spoke up. "Eomma, I don't want to move. All my friends are here, plus I've been practicing at the same dance studio since I was 9. I know Appa left, but that doesn't mean we have to, too. This is our home, Eomma. Please." Yoongi was on the verge of tears as he begged his mother to stay. However, he knew deep down that nothing would change her mind. She didn't want to stay in a place that reminded her of her ex-husband.

"Baby, you know we have to, the money is tight without your father here and I can make more money in Seoul. I'm sorry about your friends, sweetie, but you can always visit, and you'll make new friends. You'll find a new dance studio in Seoul that you'll love, Yoongi. I know you don't like change, but I think this will be the best for both of us." Eomma Min managed a smile and searched Yoongi's expression for a sign of hope. When she found nothing, she sighed and got up to clean her plate.

Yoongi stood up to go pack the remainder of his possessions, but before he left the kitchen he managed to say, "I'll try."

With that glimmer of hope, Yoongi's mother smiled. She knows he'll be happier soon.
