Chapter fifteen

I looked at them. mom? I thought his mom was dead.

"Austin?" she asked. there were tears in her eyes.

"MOM?" Liam and Dani yelled in sync. Austin ran up and hugged Lou.

"um... Austin?" I said. "I thought she was... you know... dead," I whispered. I was on the verge of tears.

"I was beat pretty bad. I just asked for them to tell him I was dead. the doctors understood before I could explain. it was for his safety," Lou explained. she was crying. so was I. what does this mean?

we sat in the room. Ari and Luke went home. the police officer who brought us home, came with the papers. Clarity Marie Horan is now my baby sister. I smiled as she and Lux slept on the floor. the officer also did something unexpected. she went in and talked to Liam, Dani, and Lou. Lou came in crying and Liam and Dani were too. I walked over to Liam and Dani and hugged them.

"I get my first baby back!" Lou yelled. she hugged Austin tight.

"thank you so much Liam! and Danielle! I will never be able to repay you! I'm sorry!" she said through tears.

"there's no need. as long as he's happy, we are," Liam said, sniffing. what? he- he's leaving me? he got up and walked over to me. he held his hand out and helped me up. the tears were gushing out. he lead me to the hallway.

"hey, don't cry," he said. I just cried harder.

"I'm sorry. but I have to. we are gonna live on opposite sides of the ocean. we can't continue if we can't see each other. but we will see each other soon. when the boys go on tour. in a few months," he said. they were moving to America. California.

"Austin! come on! we're going to miss the plane," we heard Lou say. I cried harder. I grabbed Austin and kissed him one last time. he pulled me into a hug.

"keep in touch, okay?" he said, wiping one of my tears away. I nodded. and he started crying..

"don't cry, love. I will miss you and see you soon. remember that," I said. he nodded. we hugged one last time and he left.

I sat on the couch. next to Dani. she pulled me close. the others had left to get Clarity some clothes. they left her here because of the lack of a car seat. she was playing with my sock covered feet.

I heard Dani sob. I sobbed too. I miss him so much. even though he has only been gone for an hour. I had a jar of nutella that I was sharing with Dani.

I continue to cry. Clarity looks at me and starts crying. now I feel bad. I picked her up and put her on my lap.

"don't cry, love. it's gonna be okay. everything is okay," I said.

"your a good big sister," Dani said.

"thank you. I had to help out in the nursery at the orphanage." she smiled at me.

we heard the door open and the others walked in. they handed us or own jars of nutella. we thanked them and Niall took Clarity in his arms. everyone seemed to love her. she had formed a liking to my feet. every time I would wiggle my toes she erupts with giggles. so would everyone else. Liam and Louis assembled her crib in my room. it was getting late and Clarity yawned.

"I'm going to put her to bed. I'll be down soon," I said, picking her up. I let everyone kiss her goodnight and carried her upstairs. they had also bought her a changing table and a pink dresser. they assembled a shelf for toys they had bought too. I put her on the changing table and changed her diaper. I put her on the floor and kept an eye on her as I went to get her a pair of jammies. I found a pair of jammies that had '1D' on them. I put them on her and she yawned again. I picked her up and walked around the room, singing to her.
