The Reckoning

This is definitely a sensitive subject. One left right out in the open, yet hidden gracefully. So, we'll handle this delicately. Clumsy as I may be, I somehow end up where I intended to. All of us have differences. Some more subtle, some more distinguished. We travel together now. One beautifully placed family of pure joy. All we're seeking is our humble home. Till then, we venture on. Keeping each other's hearts warm and bellies full. A little laughter and swapping of stories helps to pass the time in between our destinations. The littlest amongst the wee ones has quite a bit of resilience to any shortcomings we encounter. What a knack she has for the invisible yearn lingering amongst the loaded unknown. We came to our senses that night. Simultaneously. Words became useless to such a revelation. Smiles, snickers, and sighs filled the salty air with a smell none of us had sniffed. We returned to our stop spot completely overcome with hope. Though we could all sense the challenges that awaited us in the unseen future, it didn't take long for us to close our eyes and take flight to revel in our fresh discovery. We made sure to root our anxious bones to the seapines covering our dreamy heads. True freedom is upon us.
