I seriously don't want to do another project right now, knowing it would probably end up like the last one did.
~FLASHBACK~
"Luke could you please pass the wormwood?" I ask politely, pushing up my goggles
"Yeah." He replies, giving me the tiny vial, and focusing back on his bubbling pan of goop.
"Um I think you did something wrong there Luke." I say hesitantly, not wanting to offend him .
"I know what I'm doing sapphire." he answers stupidly. This guy, Luke, thinks he's the smartest person here, considering he's always on high honor roll , but he does not know or care that there are other above him and are doing higher and harder things that the juniors in high school.
"It's Siren actually and you did do something wrong. Your um... goop is not black as it should be , instead its a murky yellow almost olive green color. Where did you go wrong?" I ask taking a few steps back from the now boiling pan. He does the stupidest thing ever and pours water in it. The goo catches on fire and he keeps on pouring water on it. The now bubbling pot is spitting water all over the place. "What are you doing! You're not supposed to put water in that because it has oil in it! It's only going to get worse. This is why Mrs. Finnian trusts me more than she trusts you." I say shaking my head in anger. "Go get some help now I'll try to do something about it." I say he runs out of the room as fast as he could. When I can't hear his pounding footsteps anymore I turn back to the fire. I hold out my shaking hands and start muttering what would sound like nonsense to anybody else. I've never done this type of magic yet and if it goes wrong, let's just say nobody will ever servive here again. "Ignis vade auferetur. Ignis vade auferetur." The fire started going away as I said the incantation. I was concentrating so hard I didn't hear Luke come spluttering back through the door. He has a bucket of some type of liquid and splashes it on the floor... and me.
"Siren." He says bewildered. I stop concentrating and the fire flares up again, this time worse. "What are you?" He asks flabbergasted. But I'm not paying attention to him. I feel a searing pain go up my legs and feet. I look down and see droplets of water on my skin. And with a sudden flash of green light and a howl of pain from my side, I have transformed. "Siren, what are you?" He says in disgust. You see I'm not an experienced mermaid yet so my transformations are absolutely dreadful.
"Siren! Oh honey, come on let's get you out of here." Mrs. Finnian runs into the room. She lugs me up and in to the closet Luke in tow. He's still looking at my tail, mesmerised by the colors. I feel a warm sensation around me. She's put me in the gigantic tub filled to the brim with saltwater.
"Mrs. Finnian you know what she is?" He asks.
"Yes you silly boy. Now go get some coke and put out that fire. Then get some towels and give them to me." (AN> you may be wondering why she said coke, well it's because coke puts out fires so...) she says hurriedly. He rushes out of the room and into the storage capartment. He grabs a coke bottle and shakes it up. He sprays the coke onto the fire and it gets shut down immedietly. He grabs a few black, fluffy towels and races over. A searing pain goes throughout my body and a scream escapes my lips. But all they could see is bubbles. Mrs. Finnian looks at me like she's about to cry, tears stream down my face and another scream penetrates the water, the sound actually making it out of the water. I turn to my side curling up into a ball as much as I can. Mrs. Finnian pulls ne out of the water. She puts the fluffy black towels around my tail and myself, and turns toward Luke.
"Look like, you're a good person right?" She asks.
"Well I sure hope so."he says.
"Well what a shame. You wouldve been good friends with siren if you had been nicer." She sighs. She holds up her hands and starts saying a spell."memoria Lacuna." Meaning "erase memory" (or delete memory something like that) he crumpled to the floor in a heap of wet and smoking clothes.
"Well siren, looks like we're going to the ocean today." She says, chuckling softly. "Now how about I take Mr. Lukas here to the nurse and then bring you to the back. Sound good?"
"Yes." I say, thanking Neptune that Mrs. Finnian was here for me. If she wasnt I have no idea what wouldve happened to me. Well I mean I would but, let's not talk about that.
"Alright Your Highness, I suggest we vet yourself back into the water before, oh great Merlin, someone finds us in here. Well lets get this show on the road, shall we?" She says and picks me up bridal style before heaving me onto a wheelchair she had beside her. "Its now or never" she says and covers up my... Tail. She grabs an extra apron and shirt and throws it over to me. "Put those on would you?" She asks. So I do as she asks and throw on the blue shirt and white apron. "Now we're ready" Dear neptune please don't let father be angry at me.
*flashback over*
"Um... Mrs. Jelliani? What exactly is this project?" I ask her toatally blanking out.
"Oh its nothing. You just have to learn as much information as you can on your partner. You know... The juicy stuff. Such as, love status, family, deep deep dark secrets. Oh thos are my Faves!" She says squealing. What The heck is wrong with this woman?
And even more importantly..... WHAT AM I GOING TO DOOOOOOO?!?!?!?!?!
