Chapter 2

About 3 hours later, Gaya, Tod, and I were waiting for Danea to meet us.

"So this is the girl who thought I was hot?" Tod said

"If the new chick isn't here in five seconds, I swear, I'm going in without you. Five...four...three..." Gaya complained.

"Sorry, sorry!" Danea came running down the hall. "I got lost!"

"Hello, beautiful woman!" Tod said, giving Danea a sudden, sweet hug.

"Down, tiger, down!" me and Gaya yelled.

We all walked in. Tod put his arm around Danea's shoulders and whispered something in her ear. Danea nodded her head, fast and furious.

Gaya looked at me and said "Band practice in ten minutes"

"Are you sure we can't blow off Heart of Irony today? I don't wanna leave those to alone together."

Then I remembered I was lead singer, mainly due to Gaya blowing my ears off and yelling it in my ear.

My phone rang. "They're gonna clean up your looks, with all the lies in the books..." it sang.

I did not recognize the phone number on my display screen.

"Hello, this is Ina Haf, lead singer of 'Heart if Irony. What do you need?"

"Seven days to save her heart; by then you must save it too; seven days to heal her heart; you know what you must do" *beeeeep*

"That was so freaking creepy!"

"What the heck happened, dudette!?!?!"

"Some creepy voice was talking to me. But what I got from it was that I have exactly seven days to save Danea from Tod, help her fix her shattered heart, and find her a love that's true. That's a tall order for a sixteen year old."

"That's a skyscraper of an order, dude. A thirty year old couldn't do that! A sixty year old wouldn't have a chance, and they are all old and wise and stuff! What do we do?"

"I will have fun with is. I'm led to believe this is my job."
