"Fuckin' weirdos and their fuckin' lovey dovey shit." You say to yourself.

Again, you were hating on couples. For once in your life, you couldn't stand it. You didn't understand how you just let it slide, your whole love life issues. But, the kids were really enjoying themselves.

"Ms. (L/N), look! Look!" You quickly turned around and smiled, they were so happy and cheerful.

Not so long ago, another kid was acting a little.. bratty. You reported the kid to their parent, swearing in front of them (of course the kids were too far to hear), and both the parents and kid apologized after your fist literally was on fire and your eye was turning blue, electricity rubbing through your veins.

Just thinking about it made the air retreat as far it can go, and people did too. You were so focused on what happened, you didn't realize that you had took the two children, Kasai Inferno, and Myra Inferno, away from the park and into the bar/grill.

As if they knew, everyone quickly went out your way. half way, bending down, and telling the kids to change out of their uniforms and start their homework, and then... you just breathe. But, that didn't help because the glass right next to you started cracking up.

A warm hand went on your shoulder, and left quickly as it came. This was a way Grillby paid his thanks to you, for being patient with the kids. You didn't really do much as a baby sitter, besides clean the house, laundry, and pretty much any mother would do. Not that you were one, but the kids really treated you like the mother they never had.

Sighing, you went on the stool and just drifted off to sleep.

Soon, a little sounds of laughter was heard. You  smiled, and soon a small deep chuckle was heard. Crackles like fire, that's how it sounded like.

Quickly shooting up, you grab the kids and put them behind you. Mom instincts kicked in, and you started checking the kids for injuries, asking if they felt any pain.

The kids were just laughing, really hard.

You turned around and spotted Grillby, laughing quite loudly. It sounded nice, he rarely cracked a smile. This made you smile, and you started joining the laughter.

"Why are are we laugh-"

You saw the time, 9:30. Way past their bedtime.

"Bedtime!"

"Aw, but.."

"No buts, off you go."

You saw Grillby look at you, well at your figure. He was eyeing you, this kinda made you blush. You slapped his chest, pretty hard.

"Eyes up here, Mister."

The kids didn't even see what was happening. But you were eyeing him back. He had pretty big muscles, for someone who owns a bar. You talked to Frisk about it once, he was in the war. In Monster Terms, he pretty much 31. You were only 29, but her was thousands of years older than you. You also heard what happened to his wife, she lost her life during child birth.

You looked at him with side eyes. You never really felt that type of pain before, but you could tell that you helping him with his kids, helped a lot.

He walked up to you, before giving you a cup of golden flower tea. You liked it, a lot. Undyne was obsess with it, and so were you.

"Thank you."

He nodded.

"...."

"Daddy! Momm-"

Myra just called you "Mommy". You sighed, knowing that you would have to tell her than she couldn't call you that. You could never replace the person, the rightful person, unless her soul gave you her blessing.

Grillby head jerked when he heard the girl call you "Mommy".

"The kids really love you."

You heard it, and you looked away. You loved them too, they were the kids you might never have.

"I know. But.. I can't replace their birth Mother with myself, it's rude. It's a name for someone who deserves it, I-"

"But you already replaced her."

"Doesn't prove anything."

"It proves that you care."

"Because I have to."

"Because you wanted to."

It was a back and forth answers to one another. He kissed your cheek, and you just hugged him.

This never happened, but you guess its a way that both of you could understand each other.

"Thank you.."

"No, thank you."

And with that, the two of you left. Tending to the children and putting them to sleep.

A long and interesting day it was, what does tomorrow hold?
