That's tough. I hated Gary because he was always asking for a battle... even when my Pokémon were practically already defeated. Then he'd bitch if you beat him. But my favorite rival is....
Wally. He's so cute. Same with Hau. Gladion wasn't really a rival to me because... um... how do I explain? Well, he didn't feel like a rival if that makes any sense.
The rest were okay except the ones for x and y. They only wanted to battle to get stronger and I actually felt anxious whenever I met up with said rival because I didn't want to win anymore. It felt like I was hurting them when I beat them. They were too keen on winning and to lose... I don't know. It made me feel bad. I know, "it's just a game" but it's not! Not to me! I'm just a softie at heart but still... I feel for these characters.
Then there's Hugh from Black and White 2. He's a tsundere. I like characters like that tho. I really hope he finds his little sister's Pokémon. My friend told me he does tho.
