The Daughter of Wolves {ON HOLD}

Chapter 1

Raven's POV
I run through the forest in the dead of night, I can hear sirens in the distance and know they're getting closer.
Faster! My mind tells me as I jump over a rock.
I hear yelling behind me and know that they're going to catch me, that's it, they're going to catch me and lock me up for a murder I didn't commit.
I run past a cave and stop in my tracks, quickly I run toward the cave and hide as  a dozen police officers run past.
I breathe a sigh of relief and sit against the rocky wall of the dark cave.
I hear a twig snap outside the cave and stiffen, I stare at the entrance as a tall, dark figure walks towards me "I know you're there" says a mans voice, I back farther into the cave "who are you?" I ask quietly and he chuckles coming closer "I'm nobody" he says and smirks "but your not a nobody are you?" He asks me and I shrug "I don't think I have any reason to be a somebody " I say and he grabs my arm "do you not know?" He asks shocked and I roll my eyes "it depends on what you're asking if I don't know" I say and he sighs "I always knew John was a wimp, couldn't even explain your heritage" he says and I growl "well he isn't the best father " I shiver remembering all the times he would beat me.
Mr.'nobody' laughs "my names Tony, pleasure to meet you" he finally tells me his name "I'm Raven" I say and he smirks "I know who you are-" he's cut off by a gunshot and yelling, I jump and look at Tony, he pulls out a gun of his own and sighs "I really didn't want to have to kill anyone today" he mutters and we hear footsteps running toward the cave entrance.
Tony sprints out of the cave and looks back over his shoulder "come with me if you wanna live!" He yells over his shoulder and I dash after him, I may not trust him....but the policemen have guns and I don't feel like dying today.

Tony's POV
After running for two hours non stop I decide that the girl needs to rest.
I stop running and turn to her "Raven we are going to rest now " I say, she stops running and leans against a tree for support as she catches her breath.
I look at the sky and see that it's about to start raining, I sigh and look over at Raven who isn't wearing a jacket, I walk over to her and give her my coat, Raven looks at me weirdly "why did you give me your coat?" She asks and I roll my eyes pointing to the sky, Raven looks up and makes an O with her mouth "oh thanks" she says turning toward me, I shrug "I can't have you getting sick" I say and she smiles slightly "like you even really care " she mumbles and I sigh, I know she doesn't trust me yet.....but hopefully she can learn to trust me I the future. I look around and say "come on let's find somewhere to take shelter before it starts pouring " she nods and we find a small cave to take shelter in just as a storm starts.
I look over to see that Raven has curled up and fallen asleep 'Out like a light' I think to myself 'well as long as we get moving before dawn we should be able to make it to the village near dusk tomorrow ' and with that I slowly drift off to sleep.
