Chapter 2

Raven's POV
It's been a couple hours since Me and Tony started off to wherever we are going, I look at the sky and see that the sun is finally waking up, I yawn and think about before Cole disappeared
*flashback*
"Cole!" I run up to my brother on my eleventh birthday, Cole looks at me with a bright smile "yeah,Rav?" He asks using my nickname, I grab his hand and pull him towards the backyard "I found a cool tree!" I exclaim excitedly and Cole chuckles with a raised eyebrow "a cool tree?" He questions and I nod while dragging him towards the yard gate and towards the small forest  "it's in the forest!" I say and he sighs "you know you're not supposed to go in there, it's dangerous " he lectures and I frown "yeah and home is so much safer" I mutter and Cole stops walking "you can't just go around saying stuff like that, father will get mad if anyone finds out about....our 'punishments''" he whispers and I look at him "hey Cole?" U question and he hums in response "do ever think about....leaving?" I ask quietly and he stays silent for a minute I look at his face "Cole....?" I question again and he sighs "yes but I can't leave you alone" he answers softly and I smile "I would be sad if you left" I say with a sad smile, Cole frowns "you'll be fine" he mumbles to himself and I look at him "what do mean ? Are you going to be leaving?" I ask and he smiles a small smile "I don't know Rav"
*end flashback *
I glance at Tony and smile "hey Tony?" I ask and he hums in response "where are we going?" I question and he sighs, I had been asking nonstop and it was starting to get annoying. Tony looks at me "if I tell you will you shut up?" He asks in an annoyed tone,I nod and he sighs "we're going to a village" he says and I nod slowly "....what village?" I ask  "you said you'd shut up" he complains and I giggle for the first time since I was twelve "just tell me what village and I'll shut up" I say and he groans "we're going to the wolf village" he says and I nod, slowly taking a step into the river. 'Why are we going to the wolf village?' I think to myself as I silently follow Tony trough the river, slipping on a rock I yelp as I plunge into the cold, fast moving river, I try to get above the shallow water but the current is too strong,I can feel myself growing weaker as I grab onto a big rock trying to stop moving.
Help! My mind cries as my lungs feel as though they would explode, just as I was thinking that I would finally get to meet my mother, Tony yanks me out of the water and I gasp in the sweet,cool air while coughing, Tony pulls me onto shore and pats my back "hey kid,you alright?!" He asks in concern, I give him a look that says really? Tony stands and offers me a hand up,I take his hand and he pulls me to my feet "thanks Tony,you've saved my life" I say one I get my breath back and he grunts "I couldn't just let you die" he says and a my mouth twitches but I refuse to smile, I yawn and Tony looks at me and sighs "do you want to rest for a bit?" He asks and I nod thankfully "yes please" I say and lean against a tree, I glance around and notice a berry bush, I walk up to it "Hey Tony are these poisonous?" I ask picking some and showing him, Tony studies them for a minute and squashes one between his fingers "no I don't think so" he says and I smile "okay,well I'm going to eat some" I pluck another berry and plop it into my mouth, I savour the sweet berry juice and swallow it "yum! These are good" I exclaim and Tony eats one too "yeah your right little bird, they're not to bad at all" he says and I raise an eyebrow "little bird?" I question and he shrugs "well your name is Raven and your a child so your nickname will be little bird" he explains and I frown "I'm not a child" I argue and he grunts.
We walk for about half an hour until I spot a deer caught in a trap "oh my gosh!" I exclaim and try to run over to help it, key word try, Tony held me back "Tony! Let me go! It needs my help!" I yell at him and he grunts frowning "are you trying to get us caught?" He asks and I roll my eyes "how is helping a deer going to get us caught?" I ask, Tony points to the trap "it could be anyone's trap, and if whoever it belongs to tells anyone that their trap in these parts was messed with them they could get suspicious.
"And if they get suspicious and send people up here searching...we're screwed" he answered and I sigh "well we don't want that happening now do we?" I ask rhetorically and he hums in agreement.
"So how long until--" I am cut off by a blood curdling scream ringing throughout the forest. Tony curses and grabs my hand and starts running the opposite direction of the scream, I start to pull away "Tony what's going on?!" I ask worriedly and he looks at me desperately "they've found us!" He pants.
