The birthday 🎂

"Happy birthday darling!!! " her mother exclaimed hugging her. Bella couldn't hide her amazement because she was so surprised.. "How on earth can I forget that its my birthday?" She thought "or is it because I dont have a phone with me now? "... " I know my friends had all sent their wishes by now. Seriously, I need to go and get my phone from the repair shop" she thought as she looked up on her mother and said"thanks mom".
Bella went to the backyard where she had her little garden, watered the flowers and then sang beautiful songs with the birds.
She went back into the house and met her mother done with the breakfast. The lazy Bella sat naughtily and began eating the chocolate smoothie (her favourite).
"Mom, when is dad coming back?" she asked her mother "in few hours time darling" Catherine (her mom) replied.
"Yaiii" Bella exclaimed in happiness. Ting tong.. The doorbell rang and Bella reached for it
"Happy born day best friend" Anna (who was Bella's best friend) shouted hugging her as she opened.
"Oooh thanks sweetie" Bella replied hugging her back.
"Goodmorning mother" Anna said at the top of her voice to make sure that Bella's mother heard her before they go straight to the garden which was the best place for them to refresh and share secrets. "Morning sugarplum" Catherine replied to Anna.
Anna dragged Bella to the garden because she was eager to show her the gift she brought to her. They went into the garden and what Bella saw baffled her.  It was a huge bag with a text on it which reads "happy birthday to the cutie pie in the world".  Bella kissed Anna and ran to the bag to see what's inside it. It was a brand new makeup kit, a hair dressing set, a gown and a pair of shoes all in Bella's favourite colour red. Bella couldn't control herself,  she kissed Anna on the cheek and kept screaming like a child who got an ice cream.
Catherine heard the scream and she decided to go over and see what was happening.
She saw the two of them looking sweetly so she decided to let them have their privacy.
" ooops gottta go sweetheart, mom is waiting for me" Anna said and zoomed off in her car leaving Bella standing like a statue thinking of the words and phrases she would use to thank her best friend.
Bella went into the house and met Catherine watching in the sitting room so she went to her and rest her head on her lap.
"Have you tidy up your room? " were the words that echoed into her left ear.
"No" she replied
"But why? Why is my Bella so hardworking and lazy? " Catherine said with a smile on her face.
"Mom its not that. I swear today am full of surprises so I even forgot to tidy up my room talkless of yours not even the dining area where we ate or the sitting room itself. Sorry mom I will do it right now" she said as she stood on her feet and walked to her room.
Before she was done with all the tidy ups and the clean ups, it was already 2:00pm and she couldn't still believe that the shirt she wore last night to bed which was just on her mid thigh was still the cloth on her right now so she rushed to the bathroom,  had her bath and then wore a simple velvet shiny navy blue gown with a silver lace on the neck. She looked adorable in the outfit.
She went downstairs to her mom's room but she met her taking an afternoon nap. So she sat in the corridor and some thoughts began to cross her mind.  "Why is it that it was only one of my friends that came to me this birthday? Or is it because I don't have a phone to communicate with them? " she thought "it was unlike my seventeenth birthday where all my friends gathered and jubilated with me. But now am a big girl, this is when everybody will come to me and jubilate. This is the right time. Am 18 haba mana!  What do they all mean?  Its bad fa". Her thoughts lasted when she heard the doorbell she went with a smiling face thinking it was another friend of hers coming to wish her, but what she saw was entirely different because it was a kid from the neighborhood who came to ask if they needed anything from the market so he will help them buy.
" no" Bella said closing the door.
It was already pass 5 and the day was still bored to Bella. While sitting in her garden, Catherine met her
"Hey love, let's go pick your dad he's at the airport" Bella jumped in happiness and followed her mother to the car and they zoomed off.

"Mooom, you said we're going to the airport. Why heading to a hotel? "  Anna asked.
"Shhhhhh! quiet sweetie just watch me,  ain't we gonna get some refreshments for him? " Catherine replied.
Bella folded her hands to her chest and looked straight.

When they arrived the hotel, Bella said she won't get in just let her mother get in and buy all she want and she will be waiting for her in the car but Catherine insisted and they went in together. They were not even heading to the market direction but rather to the direction of the conference hall of the hotel.
"Mom what are we gonna do in the hall?
" just watch me".  Catherine concluded.
They entered the hall...
"SURPRISE"
Everybody in the hall said as they began to sing happy birthday song to her.
Her dad was there,  Anna was there and all the friends she were expecting and even those she wasnt expecting were all there to rejoice with her on her 18th.
"Take this an enter there for changeup" twas Anna's voice that echoed in her ears.
She turned around and saw Anna holding the kind of dress that she had always dreamt to wear on her birthday.  It was a red birthday gown decorated with a black previous stones that could be diamonds maybe .
Bella screamed to the top of her voice and she changed up. When she was out ,  the party began...
