I waved goodbye to Nico and strolled into my cabin, my siblings acknowledged, by my small smile in their direction.
Once I made it to my bunk, I flopped onto it, buried my head into my pillow, and groaned.

Why the ever loving fuck did it have to be just me and Nico?! I mean, not that I don't want to be alone with him - quite the opposite, but I don't know if I can handle it on top of a quest to a fucking magic school.

I sighed and tried my best to push all thoughts of the chocolate eyed boy out of my currently, very gay mind.

I stood up again and thought back to what Chiron had said, before I realised I hadn't been listening. I spun on my heel and moved past my siblings, who looked at me quizzically. I shrugged before I moved out of the door and down the few steps.

I made the very familiar trip to the Hades' cabin, and bounded up the dark wooden stairs. I weighed my options: knock, and probably wait for ten minutes before Nico remembers to let me in, or burst in unannounced and risk seeing literally anything.

I decided to respect his privacy, and didn't barge in. I banged unceremoniously on the door and heard a faint cry of,
"I'll be there in a sec."

Nico yanked the door open and his eyebrows raised when he saw it was me.
"You dandy?" He coughed, "I mean, what do you want?"

I smiled lightly and revealed I hadn't been listening to a word of what Chiron said, which caused Nico to roll his eyes so hard I thought they'd permanently found residence in the back of his head.

He beckoned me in, and sprawled onto a bunk, gesturing for me to sit somewhere. I plopped onto the bunk opposite his and looked at him imploringly for answers.

Once again, his eyes found their way back into his head before he spoke. "So what exactly do you need to know right now?"

I scratched the back of my neck and grinned. "How to pack would be a great place to start?"

After he had explained how to pack, along with briefing me on everything else I missed (which was almost everything Chiron said), he pushed me out of his cabin.

"Come on Solace, leave and pack so I can do the same."

I entered my cabin, grabbed my duffel, and started to unceremoniously cram in as many items of clothing as I could.

After I was satisfied with the copious number of orange camp shirts that resided in my  bag, I zipped it up and decided to try and piss Nico off. When he got mad his olive skin tinted with a stunning rose and he puffed out his chest that drew my attention to his ridiculously well defined muscles and it just is not fair how fucking cute that little gremlin is.

I decided to skip knocking this time and barged through the door whilst hollering.
"Honey, I'm home!"

What I barged in on immediately filled me with two very conflicting things: regret, and raging homosexuality.

Nico stood in the middle of his cabin, and wore nothing apart from a towel that hung loosely on his hips. His soaked hair was dripping and ran down the outlines of his sculpted back.

All in all, he was absurdly sexy.

The victim of the invasion of privacy squeaked upon my arrival and dashed into his bathroom.

He called out from his hiding spot. "Golly gosh William! Knock next time."
The majority of my embarrassment was pushed aside as I realised Nico could make 'golly gosh' sound good.
"So sorry Coco!"

I could only just hear the indignant noise he emitted at my nickname.

My face reverted back to its burning state and I wished I could rewind and just knock on the fucking door.

After I assessed the situation I sighed and sat down on a bunk, my head rested in my hands.
Nico slouched out of the bathroom with his towelled dry hair that stuck up all over the shop. A pair of black sweatpants was his choice in bottoms, I wasn't surprised,  but his shirt was a different story. The top he was wearing was a neon blue, The Monkees shirt.

I let out a giggle that prompted Nico to cast me a questioning glance. I lightly pulled on my own shirt to show what I found so funny and Nico blushed a deep ruby, stuttering about how they were a good band and I should shut up.

I flashed a smile at the boy who was being swamped by his 'good band' shirt, and he smiled back whilst he made his way to the empty space beside me.

The silence was captivating, and I wasn't quite sure of how to go about it. That is, until Nico made the first move.

"Honey, I'm home? Really?"
