Tessa galloped toward her brother's house desperately. Someone at the dock at been badly injured. She got off her steed and went to open the door before being shoved out of the way by a distraught Kate.
"Oh great! Are you another dastardly wench whom which my husband has been conspiring with!" Kate screamed as her crying children grabbed onto her legs.
"What, I-" Tessa tried to say before being hushed.
"I knew it! This whole town is filled with revolting liars!" She cried before running off.
"I have no idea who or what you're talking about!" Tessa screamed back in response as Kate stormed off.
Tessa rolled her eyes, trying to ignore the incompetent woman, but as she tries to walk in she was shoved yet again by another distraught lady.
"Lexi?" Tessa queried.
"Oh bite me!" Lexi screamed as she ran off.
Tessa huffed angrily before trying to open the door. She sighed, seeing that it was locked before going and getting back on her horse, she had tried to go and check on the man who was by rumor, "hurt at the dock". She was told this by Jordan, who was not much more than a town gossip, you could never truly trust her.
Tessa grabbed Pirate's reins and smacked them. Pirate ran at full speed toward the dock. Once arriving at the dock, Tessa gasped as she saw a mutant trying to drag Tyler under the water, it seemed his boat had been flipped.
"How did one find us!?" Tessa screamed.
It wasn't like anyone would ever believe her if she told them what she had seen. Tyler was flopping around for his life, While Tessa's horse began to panic and jump around wildly.
"Not the right place to do this, Pirate..." She whispered to him as she tried to hang on before she was thrown into the water as well.
"Don't worry Tyler!" Tessa yelled, "I will save you from the mutant!" Tessa exclaimed as Tyler screamed before being yanked under.
"Crap..." Tessa said silently to herself, as a large-scale started coming closer.
"That is not a mutant...." She whispered, "Help!"
The alligator-like creature grinned and swam further towards her. Tessa briskly swam for her life, before pulling herself up onto the broken dock. She panted heavily before looking down into the water at Tyler.
"The Kraken's taken my leg!" A struggling Tyler yelled as he flopped onto the shore.
Tyler was bleeding quickly as the gator circled the dock. Tessa without hesitation cut pirates rein and tied it around Tyler's leg, a small thing she had picked up from her brother.
