The option of adoption

-Dick pov-
I wake up on the couch with Artemis laying on top of me. I reach out to grab the beer can in front of me but get stopped
"Drop the can or I will break that hand" I look down and see Artemis glaring at me as she lets go
I put the can to my lips and she hits the can away and holds me down "Artemis get off"
"You don't drink a beer again and I will"
"But I" I see the look on her face and see she's sad "alright I'll stop"
She smiles "thank you" she kisses my lips "I love you"
"I love you too" I pick her up "so I wanted to as you a question"
"What's up?"
"So we may not have a biological kid right now" she is about to speak but I cut her off "buttt we have another option"
"No I'm not getting another girl pregnant for us and it's not gonna be switched either!"
I laugh "no I mean adoption we can adopt!"
-Artemis pov-
Dick brings up a good point "alright"
He picks me up and spins me around the room laughing "let's go now!"
"What's got you so excited?"
He puts me down "I was adopted I know what it's like there I wanna help a kid out"
I kiss his lips "alright let's go" he starts to walk way but I stop him "after you shave your beard!"
"I wanted to keep it it makes me look more like a man"
I laugh and push him to the bathroom "now Grayson"
-Adoption center-
We walk in and the people tell us the kids are currently in nap time so we go to a waiting room. We wait for about 2 hours before being told to follow.
We walk into a room with kids all around "these are the kids enjoy!" They leave us with the kids
The kids look at us then walk away minus one little blonde girl holding a bear and sucking her thumb I elbow Dick "hey what about that girl"
He looks at her and get down on a knee in front of her "hi I'm Dick Grayson what's your name?"
The girl looks at him then walks up to him and hugs him "Suzie no you can't just hug the people" a worker comes in and pulls her off "sorry about tha-"
"We'll take her"
"Dick are you sure?"
"Yes sir are you sure she's not the-"
He gets up and pulls out his wallet "I'll pay if I have to we are taking her"
The lady looks at him then sighs "I'll get the paper work" with that she leaves
"What just happened Grayson?"
He turns toward me "she's perfect Artemis"
I look at him "there's something else" I see him tense "she reminds you of you"
"No one wanted me no one liked me i was always told not to hug" he turns and looks at Suzie "she's just like me"
"Well she does have my hair" I walk to the girl "you wanna go home with me and him?"
She smiles and nods her head then hugs my leg "momma" I start to tear up and hug her
"Yes Momma!" I stay like that for a while and feel Dick tap my shoulder
"Need your signature"
I wipe my eyes and sign my name "sorry"
"It's fine and now she's yours all she has is what she's got"
We nod and I pick her up "your coming home with us!"
She smiles "momma!dada!" I smile and put her in the car to get home
-night Dick pov-
We put Suzie in bed and go to our room "we are finally parents"
Artemis nods and puts her head on my chest "this feels great"
"I agree I love you mis"
"I love you too Grayson" we both let sleep take over us
