A week had passed and Luna was receiving more grief than ever before, though she stood by what she had said to harry way back in their fifth year 'if you are cut off and alone you wouldn't be as much as a threat' or something like that she didn't really like to dwell upon those kind of things.
She simply ignored the snidey remarks she received in the corridors, though she may be in her own world so much that she simply hadn't heard them. After a while things between her and Malfoy became a lot more awkward he would comment her on something different every day, when this happened she would become jelly-legged, her mouth would go dry and she'd simply run off in a fit of giggles. She only looked back the once and she saw Draco smiling and laughing at her this made her feel warm and fuzzy inside as she had always liked him though never shared it.
Things between her and Neville were as good as ever, they would often spend the weekends together either feeding Theastrels or searching for some new wacky creature mentioned in a Quibbler article l. After the War had ended they decided to just be friends as to prevent any of them getting hurt though she did not like to bring up the subject as not to upset anyone.
Besides she had somebody else as did Neville she had her slytherin prince Draco though she didn't know how serious things were going to get.
She was again alone at the Ravenclaw table though she kept throwing glances at Draco and every time he would return them after around the seventeenth look she came to the conclusion not to look back, she didn't want to look desperate. No she would wait for him to make the first move.
When she turned to look again she could not see him sighing she turned back to face the empty seat opposite of her,she was startled at the sight that met her as there he was sat opposite her on the Ravenclaw table the other end of the room to his own.......
"Look Luna I really want to be with you but is there a place in your own flawless heart for a fool like I"
She didn't know what to say to him. On the one hand she really want to be with him though on the other he had denied the kiss for almost a week now what was she to do. so she simply said "denial is the strangest of things, it can lead us to love, hate and even anger yet nearly everyone vows to it..."
Draco nodded, as strange as the comment may have been she hadn't said no yet, he simply downed the rest of the glass of pumpkin juice he had poured himself and left the table, headed for the exit to the great hall.
