I walk home thinking. I know what you did last summer.

The phrase keeps rolling around my head like a never-ending wire. No one knew Courtney, no one could know last summer.

All except one.

The person who was closest to me that summer and knew. Matt.

I stop dead in my tracks. Matt. He knew her, his looks the other day, and what he said to me today. But how could he know about that night?

Beep Beep, I receive a message from my phone;

"These violent delights have violent ends And in their triumph die, like fire and power, Which, as they kiss, consume." You always loved Romeo and Juliet. Funny how it finally relates to you?

Only one person knew about that.

My older sister.

I run up the stairs and into the room. Courtney.

There, she stands in her room like she was meant to be there.

She wasn't.

Suddenly all of it comes back to me, last summer. The torture, the hurt, the fights, the argument, the car, the cliff and her falling down from it killing all the torture she gave me along with her.

Only she wasn't dead.

"Aren't you supposed to be dead?" I ask, my voice trembling.

"Oh Katherine. That's what you thought. You see when you pushed me off that cliff, I survived."

"But why didn't you come back?" I question as sweat trickles down my spine.

"I felt like going ghost, especially you made that perfect reason for why I died and besides you know how I love a good revenge. You tried to kill me, now let me have a go with you, that should be fair."

"But-" And I fall into a deep black hole of nothingness.
