Chapter 3 - The secret

You felt a lump in your throat. "Erwin you can tell me, I promise not to hate you or be mad at you! Just tell me..." you looked into his blue eyes, you could still not see any emotions in them. "If I do tell you, you can never leave me nor can you tell anyone..." he looked back at you as he moved his hand from on top of yours, to hold yours in his. He was gentle, handsome, cute but he had a secret... you could see it in his eyes, but what was it? And why couldn't he just tell you without you getting mad? "Look Erwin... if you have killed someone... just tell me" you felt your spine go cold as he looked at you with a dark face "You think I have killed someone?" He forced a small smile "I knew this was a bad idea" he sat up straight as he laid his face in his hands "what was? Were you going to kill me?" You looked at him with a crooked face, a little scared for what he would say next "no! No! I would never hurt you... That was not what I was thinking..." he looked at you a little shocked from your words "then tell me" you sat up more straight and looked at the tv, your hands in your lap. You felt the feeling again, the one where something told you to get the hell away from him. It was such an odd and annoying feeling. Erwin didn't look like a dude that would hurt you, but at the same time he looked like he could be a cold man and easily give you the cold shoulder.

Silence filled the room, you looked at Erwin "Look... are you ok with me waiting to tell you it? I really don't want to ruin our thing..." he forced a smile as he looked down. "Is it so bad, that you can't tell me?" You smiled at him. "You probably don't remember me... you shut me out from yourself awhile ago, but I keep calling your name and you're ignoring me... Finally I found you and man I'm so happy I found you, but I still feel you're shutting me sort of out" you looked at him, he was still looking down. "What?" You now felt terrified "what?" He looked up at you "what did you just say?" You wanted to stand up and run, "what? I only said what? Did you hear me say anything else?" He looked... confused. Did you just imagine it? "N-nothing... I just heard something a little freaky. You started relaxing, maybe it was that person that calls your name at night, are you turning crazy? "Y/N? You ok?" Erwin reached out to your hand, but you threw yourself into his arms and told him everything about that spooky male voice at night and how it all started when your father died.

Erwin used his thumb to wipe away some tears from your cheek. "Shhh, everything is going to be ok. Don't worry about it" you looked at Erwin "It's been like that for some years now... I don't know how much of it will stop at this point" you smiled a painful smile as tears kept pouring out of your eyes. Erwin pulled you to him, your head rested on his chest. His cologne filled your nose, and his heartbeat filled your ears. "It's been like this since your fathers death, I get it... what if it's him?" He smiled at you "what of he is just checking on his little baby girl?" You laughed "I wished that was the thing, but my father would never... say those things from earlier" you looked up at Erwin. He was now holding you in a full embrace. "Well, maybe there is someone else?" He held you tight to him "Maybe..." you felt yourself go weak for Erwin. You had only met him earlier today, but already he owned your heart. "Erwin?" You leaned down on his chest again as he hummed in response. "Do you want to stay the night" you pray to god that he would accept. Erwin growled from underneath you, "sure". You couldn't help but throw your hands around his neck "thank you so much!" Then you kissed his cheek.

You sat up from Erwin and walked into the kitchen, you could hear Erwin walk into the room after you. You looked out of the window while leaning onto the counter, you could feel his arms wrap around you waist. "I'm not what you think I am Y/N" he paused and looked down at the floor. "And I would like you to know, the I would never hurt you. I'm here to protect you from the people that want to do so" He looked at you. "Just tell me already" You turned to face him, you felt a little more at ease by his words. But what did he mean by them? "I'm not from this world Y/N" His whole face was pale and it was clear that he did not like to be talking about this. You stood there, confused and you didn't know what to say. "I'm a demon Y/N, a monster..." He stepped away from you. "You hate me already don't you?" His eyes looked into yours "I'm confused, what?" He stepped forward to you and wrapped you into his arms again, you didn't know how to react to this.

Erwin was a demon... "but... aren't demons supposed to take a humans soul?" You looked up at Erwin's eyes, they had turned back to their ice blue colour. "Not all demons do that stuff" He cupped your cheeks and leaned closer to you "I do take souls... But I would never take yours" He smirked and planted a kiss on your forehead. You felt dizzy, you had a demon in your house. Not only that, but you had feelings for him. What would you tell people? What about your family? what about F/N? She is the one that will defiantly react to this. "Don't tell anyone you know Y/N" He held you close to him as he caressed your back. You felt sleepy, "I'm going to bed" You got out of his embrace and walked up to your bedroom. Two arms grabbed your waist and stopped you in your tracks, "Y/N, don't tell anyone, ok?" You wanted to slap him, but you couldn't. "I will stay with you tonight, and tomorrow I can explain everything" You hummed to his voice as he helped you get to your bed. He then laid you down and proceeded to take of his clothes and lay next to you. You glanced over at his well defined muscular body, man... where you going to fall for a demon? Erwin laid his hand over your waist and pulled you close, "nothing bad will happen to you Y/N" you fell asleep to his touch and calm breath.
