-A Warm Welcome From Red Coat

Spencer's P.O.V

I can't believe what Aria said to me last night. It was so mean. If anyone told me that Toby was A, I would have a hard time believing them, but I would ask them for more evidence and not run out and throw a big tantrum like Aria did. "Good morning Spencer," My mom said.

"G to the M momma Hastings," I replied. "Mom I really gotta go. I wanna stop off at Aria's house." I said.

"O.K honey, see you later." She said. I wasn't going to Aria's, I was on my way to Toby's house.

When I got there, I saw the front door open and Jenna Marshall, really Cavanaugh now, standing outside. Since the door was wide open, I walked closer and tried to sneak in.

"We don't sneak in people's houses, Spencer." She said.

"Jenna, aren't you blind?" I questioned.

Right at that second, Toby walked out.

"Spencer!" He screamed.

"Toby!" I yelled.

"What are you doing here?" He asked.

"I needed to talk to you." I answered.

"Not now Spencer, I'm really busy. Mr. Hastings wants me to meet him at the tire shop downtown. I'll be free around hmm, maybe 5:30?" He exclaimed.

"Toby, it's about your mom." I blurted out.

"My mom? What about my mom? She's dead and-"

Cutting him off, I yelled, "She's not dead!"

"She's not dead?! Well how do you know?!" Toby screamed happily.

"I got a note addressed to my house saying that they have her kept in the Rosewood Rehabilitation Center. I know you're excited, but it's just not safe to see her yet. I'm so sorry Toby."

"Why is she there? My mom's not crazy." He questioned.

"I don't know. There wasn't an explanation on why she was there." I said as I took out the letter.

                                                  It read:

43-23 Rosewood Lane, PA                                            5-27-14

          To the friends and/or family of Marion Cavanaugh,

                 Marion Cavanaugh will be staying at the Rosewood Rehabilitation Center and will be released in the month of February in the following year. Please note that only friends and family may visit her from 4 PM to 8 PM only on weekdays. However, this does not start until June and today's date is 5-27-14. Marion Cavanaugh was taken in during the early days of May.

"Why would they send it to your house and not mine? She was my mother." He asked.

"I don't know. Maybe because I am a close friend to Mrs. Cavanaugh and you are living in Jenna' s house, not yours. I replied.

"Oh," he said.

"Spencer what are you still doing here?" Jenna asked.

"I was just going Jenna." I told her. As I turned around to go, Toby called me back over to him and said "Thanks, I'm really happy now. My mom's been alive since the beginning of May?" He asked.

"Glad you are and weird, I guess," I smirked.

Holding my face, he placed a kiss on my cheek.

"Can we still meet up at the Brew later?" He asked.

"No, I'm busy, just kidding. I'll see you. Bye Toby." I said.

"Bye Spence," He responded.

As I walked, I took a look back at Jenna. She turned towards me, took her glasses off, and winked. It was pretty weird considering she's blind but I won't make a big deal out of it because I love Toby and she's kind of related to him. I continued walking until I got to school. School isn't very far from Toby's house. As I walked, I saw red coat. Red coat could be anyone. I saw her walk down the big-ops alley in Rosewood. I followed her down and yelled "Ali!?" Red coat ran even faster and faster. Then I lost her/it/him. I turned around to go back to school, but then I realized something. Red coat had trapped me in an area with just one door, and that door was about to close. The door slowly moved down and clicked. I ran as fast as I could to knock on the door in case anyone was still out there. But nobody was. Red coat got me in there and then pressed the button and left me in there. I picked up my cellphone and tried to call one of the girls. No signal. Great. I guess I was stuck there and now getting the feeling that I would miss my date with Toby at the Brew. A few seconds later, I get a text message. It read: Looks like Spencer's not going anywhere for a while.
