Part 6: Some Sort of Connection

We got to our second blunt of the evening. "Are we still going on with the game?" I said to him. "I mean there is something I rather do." He smirked at me. "No Diego." I sounded annoyed cause I was. "Oh come on. You even said I was hot." I rolled my eyes at him. "Sorry I am not like that Diego." He chuckled then said, "But you almost fucked Chase at the party last night." He said with a straight face. "I know, but I was completely wasted. I shouldn't of even drank that much. Usually I don't drink." I looked down upset with myself. I need to watch myself more than I thought. "It's fine, I shouldn't have left you alone, with the way Chase would have never got to you in the first place." He looked at me with slight desire in his eyes. We got half way done with the second blunt till the door busted wide open. "Hails!!" Diego and I both turned our heads to the door where we were sitting on the couch in the living room. "Abigail? Ever heard of knocking." I spoke with slight venom in my voice. "I should start locking our front door." I said to myself out loud. "I don't care, you are my best friend I can come in here whenever I want." "I live here too ya know chica." Diego chimes in. "I don't care what you have to say." Abigail said. "What did you need Abby?" I asked her. "I am sorry for leaving you alone at the party last night. I just came by to make sure you were okay. But it seems like you are fine." I look away from her looking down. "Yeah I'm okay." Abigail felt like a sister to me sometimes. She would always take care of me. She knew half the time I wouldn't be in the mood to do anything and she would cheer me up. "Okay, I'll leave you two alone." She wiggled her eyebrows at both of us. "It's nothing like that." I look at her straight away saying that. "Yeah whatever." She closes the door on her way out. "Sometimes I can't stand her." Diego chuckled at my response. "Like you're any better." He smirked. "I'm gonna get a drink. Do you want a drink?" I got up from the couch and walked into the kitchen. "No I am okay, thanks though." He said. I open the fridge and grabbed myself a coke since Diego got something for himself. I closed the door to the fridge and turned around seeing him close to me. "I am kinda thirsty for something else." He put his hands on my hips and spun me around putting me against the island in the kitchen. "Diego." I spoke softly while setting my drink on the island. His hands were still on my hips. His touch felt so warm and that look he was giving me. His look was full of desire and lust. Those light brown eyes were so dreamy. "I know this is bothering you, me touching you and being this close to you mija." He put a piece of my hair behind my ear. I froze from his touch and I just couldn't speak. He then inched closer to me. Was he going to kiss me I thought? He probably just wants to get in my pants. Why does he have this effect on me? I can't let him get to me. I moved my face so he wouldn't kiss me. "I'll back off Hails." He moved away from me and walked away. Some how I missed his presence being really close to me. Why did he do this to me? I watched him walk down the hall to his room, then hearing the sound of door close. Did I hurt his feelings? I couldn't of hurt his feelings. He just wanted to get into my pants, that's all. I don't know what is going on between us. I know we have some sort of connection.

After awhile, I watched tv in the living room. Diego hasn't really came out of his room. I decided to knock on his door and ask if he wanted some pizza. I was thinking of ordering some pizza cause I was hungry myself.
*knock knock*
"Hey Diego." He opened the door. "Did you want some pizza? I was about to order some." He gave me a straight expression. "Sure." He closed the door and I walked away to order on my phone. "I'll have a large pie of plain pizza. Okay thank you." I hung up and sat back down on the couch. "What are you watching?" Diego asked walking out of his room. "Game of Thrones obviously." "Oh my god you are one of those people that watch that show." He sat down next to me on the couch. "Yeah what's it to you." He rolled his eyes. "Why don't we watch a scary movie together?" "What do you have in mind?" I asked him. "Let's watch The Nun." He smirked at me. "Oh hell no. I seen the trailer for that. That looks scary as hell. I am fine with blood and gore but I don't know about that movie." "Oh stop being a scaredy-cat." I rolled my eyes from what he said. "Fine let's watch it then."

After watching the movie for a bit, we got comfortable with each other and were sitting close together. But then I got scared and put my face into his chest. He held the back of my head and rubbed my head to comfort me. I then look up to him seeing that smirk of his. Then the door bell rang. I got up quickly to answer the door, it was the pizza guy. "Pizza is here!" I tipped the guy and closed the door. I then sat the pizza on the coffee table in front of Diego and I. We ate pizza and continued the movie. I didn't mind his presence at all. I liked being near him. He was nice to be around actually. He put his arm around me to pull me closer to him while we were watching the movie. The good old guy trick when at the movies. I rolled my eyes at him after. We continued to watch the movie and eat pizza until there was a knock at the door. "I got it!" I walked to the door and opened it. "Hello!" It was Carlos and Jaylon. "It feels like you guys live here." I left the door open for them to come in and they walked in closing the door. "What you guys watching?" Carlos said. "The Nun." Diego said. "Hailey been scared watching it." "I have not!" I grabbed another piece of pizza and went to sit back down next to Diego. "Oh pizza!" Jaylin took a slice and sat in the recliner chair. Carlos sat next to Diego on the other side on the couch. "You guys want to go to the bar later? Some people are going to get drinks since school doesn't start for another few days?" Jaylin said. "Eh I don't know, why not after this movie." We finished the movie and pizza. The guys went out to the bar while I stayed at the house.
