"Well I better start my day," Alyssa said to herself.
An hour later Alyssa was done with her morning routine and ready to eat breakfast.
She walked down the stairs to the empty kitchen where the terrible three were sitting in the couch, her two sisters and mom were playing and her mom were playing monopoly on the floor.
"Morning! Grab some tea and make some cereal," my dad, Jace greeted cheerfully. "It sucks that all we have in the house in the house is cereal and almost empty boxes of tea," my older brother Jay complained.
"Jay you know that we can't have too much food in the house if we're moving tomorrow," Jace laughed.
Alyssa ate her cereal and drank her peppermint tea. She walked upstairs to her room and got into bed wrapping herself in a cozy faux fur blanket. She reached across the mattress to place her laptop on her lap.
She logged into her Instagram account and which she saw was filled with animal posts and deep quotes.
She went to her profile and saw a follow request from a girl named Shannon. She read her bio: just an emo girl named Shannon. Her username was "xshannonbearx"
She accepted the request and opened Spotify. She listen to her indie music playlist for what felt like hours.
She went back to check her Instagram timeline, when a notification popped up in her dms. She opened the direct message and read: "Hey! You don't know me, but my name is Shannon and I really loved your account."
To this Alyssa typed back: Oh thank you! I thought your bio was really funny even though there's really no joke Idk I'm weird :)
Shannon: don't worry so am I lol.
Shannon: but what's your name?
Alyssa: my name is Alyssa. Where are you from?
Shannon: I'm from Boise, Idaho.
Alyssa: wait are you serious?!
Shannon: yeah I really live in Idaho...
Alyssa: I'm moving there! My family is getting on a plane tomorrow!
Shannon: wow. What are the odds... well you don't happen to be going to Columbus academy do you? I've been going since I was two.
Alyssa: yes I am. My application was accepted in December last year.
Shannon: wow you must be really smart then because Columbus has a low acceptance rate seeing as you can only get in from purely connections and scholarships.
Alyssa: Yeah, well I did kinda get in both ways.
Shannon: I'd love to hear more about you but I start my shift pretty soon so maybe we can Skype later?
Alyssa: yeah definitely! I'll give you the deets where you're free
Shannon: alright ttyl
Alyssa: bye
Well maybe moving to Idaho won't just be about school.

I know the point of view is kind of everywhere but it's supposed to be in third person and in character perspective... I don't know if that made sense, sorry. But, this story was written in Alyssa's perspective and third person/narrator.
