Hug My Heart - Chapter 22 - Uh... Pregnant?!

Recap: "I'm pregnant."

Your P.O.V:

I felt my eyes grow wide, and my mouth open. Although I was 100% concious of my actions, I still couldn't compose myself. I looked over at Joey, to find he has the same expression on his face. We both just stared at eachother for a minute, and then back to Lara and Sawyer. I saw Lara started to tear up, so I composed myself. "Uh... P-preg-nant?" I managed to fumble out. It came out more like a little child trying to pronounce the word for the first time. Sawyer just stood there, fumbling with his fingers. Joey was composed now, but just sitting there, staring at the his hands. "Guys! Seriously! You're scaring me!" Lara yelled, tears rolling down her cheeks. "Not even Sawyer reacted this bad!" She said before covering her face with her hands. "Lara..." I choked out. "A word?" She nodded furiously, and we walked upstairs. "Sorry for reacting like this... it's just I've known you for like 10 years... and it's just a lot to take in. I mean Lara! You're gonna be a mom! And Sawyers gonna be a dad!" I said. She bit her lip. "Well I'm gonna by 23 when the baby is born... and Sawyers already 23... so I think we're old enough right?" She asked. I nodded my head. "Don't worry about that." I told her. "I need to talk to Sawyer, and then hang out with Joey... today's his birthday. I got him tickets to see Marina and The Diamonds, Paramore, and Lana Del Rey this summer." She gasped. "I forgot it was his birthday!" She said. I just gave her an I don't know face. "I need to talk to Sawyer now." I said, and walked out of Sawyer and hers room.

Joey's P.O.V:

"Sawyer!" I said. "What?!" he said nervously from his computer. "Aren't you going to talk to me... I mean I just found out that you're girlfriends pregnant with your baby... we're like brothers!" He came over scratching the back of his neck. "So... what do you want to know?" He said nervously. "A lot... but how about first I asked you what your reaction was?" I asked awkwardly. "I mean like how you feel about it?" I corrected myself. "Well... I'm happy! I'm also scared but overall I'm happy!" Sawyer defended. "Why are you scared?" I asked. "Bro when you're a parent you'll understand. The baby could have a defection, a health issue, the mother is going to have to go through so much pain to give birth to this baby... there's just so much to be scared for." he said with his hands in his hair. "What if something happens to our relationship! I really don't want this baby to have to split the holidays, to have step-parents... I don't want the baby to think that love will always destroy a family." He said with tears rolling down his face. "I don't know what will happen Sawyer... but you just have to have faith. You have to be happy no matter what happens." I said, reassuring him. He smiled, and sniffed, before Y/n and Lara walked down the stairs. "Sawyer can I talk to you?" Y/n asked. He looked over to Lara, and she nodded. They exchanged a quick kiss, and Sawyer kissed her belly, before walking up with Y/n.

Sawyer's P.O.V:

I walked up the stairs with Y/n, before she closed the door to hers and Joey's room. "Sooo... What did you want to talk abo-" I said before I was cut off. "So help me god Sawyer..." She started, but she turned around and fell to the floor hugging her knees and crying. I rushed over quickly. "What's wrong." I said. "I-it's just if you..." She started, but broke down again. I just sat by her and pat her back. She eventually calmed down. "If you leave her with this baby... so help me god I will chop off your dick and feed it to hitch!" She said. I was awestruck. Why would I ever leave Lara?! Let alone with my baby! "I-I would never!" I said. "I know..." she laughed sadly. "I just needed to warn you." She smiled. I smiled too. "Anyway... congrats!" She said. I laughed and hugged her. "I need to go talk to Joey now... but I'll see you later!" she said, and pranced downstairs.

Joey's P.O.V:

Lara and I didn't really talk... but I did congradulate her. I talked to her about the baby a little. She said she wants a girl. It was pretty awkward, and after 2.2 billion years, Y/n came down the stairs and kissed me. I grabbed her waist and kissed her deeper. Only then did Lara notice the bandages on Y/ns hand. "OH MY GOD WHAT HAPPENED." She shouted. Y/n looked at me wide eyes and bit her lip. "I can't lie to her." she whispered, and went over to sit by Lara. She was speaking very quietly, so nobody but Lara could hear what she was saying. I saw Lara's eyes go wide and her mouth drop. Y/n made a shush motion with her finger against her mouth. Lara nodded her head and hugged her. Y/n came over to me, and I hadn't even realised she started crying. "Awe baby come here." I said, as I pulled her into my arms, and kissed her passionately. She kissed back and smiled against my lips. "Come with me." she whispered. She grabbed my hand and pulled me up the stairs to the bedroom. Is this what I think it is? I mean we've been dating for 9 months but still... I was brought out of my trail of thought by her plopping a basket in my hand. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!" She shouted. I opened the wrapping around the basket, took out the tissue paper blocking my view. A big tag layed on top of everything saying Happy Birthday Joey! I smiled and moved it, and underneath was 3 boxes. One had paramore's face on it, one had Lana's face on it, and the last had Marina's. I opened the boxes, and there was tickets to their concerts inside! "OH MY GOODNESS GRACIONIOUS!" I shouted. Y/n smiled and kissed my cheek, but I moved my head so she cought my lips, and I pulled her really close. Her hands roamed up to my neck, and mine on her back. We pulled apart and smiled. I kissed her lightly again, before she got off my and handed me the basket again. I gave her a confused look, and looked inside, sure enough there was one last gift. I opened the small box, and inside was nothing. I looked up and she kissed me hard. "What?" I asked, confused. "I thought I'd be cute." She said. "Your gift is my kiss." I smiled. Oh how I love her.
