Shawn's POV
I grabbed Nicole's hand and started running. I didn't want to get caught sneaking out
again.
We ran hand in hand to the corner and that's when I saw a glimpse of what I didn't want to see. It was Carly and Josh in his car leaving. Carly was my ex girlfriend, also part of the reason as to why I was so glommy today.
"Whats wrong Shawn?" asked Nicole with a smile, that made me forget what I was even sad about.

Nicole's POV
Something was up with Shawn so I decided to ask him about it, my house was another 20 minutes away.
"So whats up with you, you seem a little upset."
"Well, I used to date some girl called Carly, and we were dating for almost 8 months, and she cheated on me with some guy called Josh. Its been almost 2 months but I still cant get over the fact that she did that out of nowhere." said Shawn while looking at the ground.
I decided to give him a hug because I felt bad. He put his large muscular hands around my torso and hugged me tightly. I went up on my toes to throw my hands over his neck, but didn't get to reach. then Shawn lifted me up so I would be able to reach.
It felt like we were hugging for hours. I loved it.
"Thanks for that hug, but im pretty much over it, I just hate that jerk" he said while laughing.
"Are you hungry?" he asked me
"Yeah a little."
"Okay lets go to iHop."
We walked down the street to where the iHop was, and sat down. There wasn't that any people there considering it was 3:42 in the morning.
Shawn ate like a cow, omg. He didn't even look over weight or anything. He actually looked pretty muscular if you asked me tbh.
Shawn paid for the bill after me trying to tell him I'll pay half.
"Since I paid the bill," said Shawn, "you have to let me take you on a real date."
I had never actually been on a "date date." Ive been on group dates and what not but not on an actual date.
"okay" I said probably blushing and smiling super hard.

we made it all the way to my house and he dropped me off at my door.
"You can stay if you want, so you wont have to walk by yourself to your house."
"no that's fine, ill just go home before someone notices that I sneaked out. Goodnight." he said while holding my hand. He then kissed my cheek, and turned around.
he turned around again, and pulled out his phone and said "But first...
give me your number."
