Marinette stared at him. "Hi I'm Marinette! Thanks for um...cahtching me back there. I'm a bit of a clutz as you can probably tell." she said sheepishly. Was that a blush Adrien detected on her cheeks? It can't be, He told himself. There is no love at first sight! But then he remembered meeting Marinette and told himself that maybe there was. Dan laughed and his chocolate eyes shone. "Hey, same here. I'm always falling over nothing. Anyway, I have to catch my flight in a minute so I have to go!" Adrien stepped in the conversation. "Where are you going?" He looked at Adrien and replied with "L.A. I'm hoping for new opportunities as an actor." Adrien nodded and noticed Dan slip something into Mari's pocket. "See you guys later!" he said with a sunny smile and walked off.
Adrien looked at Marinette and was slightly shocked to see her just gazing after him. He waved a hand infront of her face. "Hello? Earth to Marinette?" he said jokingly but it just didn't feel right.
Marinette was having conflicting emotions. Adrien has a girlfriend Mari! This cute guy just gave you his number and your going to give it up just for a guy who already has someone? She pulled herself out of her trance and walked towards the waiting area. "Sooo....how about some quick 20 questions to releive ourselves of bordom?" Adrien asked. Mari nodded and they started. Some way through the game Mari just layed her head on Adrien's shoulder and fell asleep. He stared at her, taking in her beauty before sliding the phone number out of her pocket. What should he do with it? She deserves someone better than him! Why did he care so much about her? They had just met! He argued with himself and at one point nearly stormed out of the room because of this descision. But Marinette always stopped him. He couldn't bear to leave her, not even for a second. He nearly woke her up countless times but thankfully she stayed resting on his shoulder.
Just how it should be.
