Marinette woke up and groggily stared around the airport. She sat up and yawned. "Glad you're finally awake!" came a voice. She turned round and stared into emerald green eyes. She slid backwards and noticed a slip of paper in Adrien's hand. He saw her staring and slipped it into his pocket. He smiled at her and they heard their flight being called. They stood up and walked towars their gate. Adrien offered to carry Mari's case but she refused. "You've already done enough for me." she replied with a smile.
It was packed in the waiting room so they both had to stand up. They just talked and talked about whatever random things. Marinette learnt that adrien loved cats, black ones in particular, just like her! Plus he loved writing! And family was really important to him. He loved his little sister more than anything in the world. "What about your dad?" she asked tentitively(is that a word?). He grimaced and sighed. "He was better before my mum left." he admitted. "She upped and left with her new boyfriend and they have a daughter now. I've never met her or seen my mother since that day. It was heartbreaking." Marinette was shocked. Her life was always okay with family. Her mum and Dad loved her and the house always smelt like cookies and crossaints, which all homes should smell like in her opinion.
She tounched his arm and smiled at him. "I'm sorry." He shook his head sadly. "Its not your fault." She pulled him into a hug. He was so surprised that he nearly pulled back but he then melted into the hug. He liked hugging Mari. She was small and warm and smelled like crossiants. Mmmmmm crossiants. Wait, he was hugging Mari and this was all he could think about? He pushed all thoughts of food out of his mind. She looked up at him and smiled her cute smile. "Better?" she questioned. He laughed "Better than ever!"
