Chapter 10

"So if this is our last week on the planet, what do you want to do?"
"You shouldn't say that, it sounds bad, and we still have to go to school."
"
'Apart from going to school, zero clue.'
'Crap I forgot, school.'
'Do we haaaavvvvveeee to go?'
'Yes Dira, yes we do.'
'Can't we just stay off?'
'No, what am I meant to say, can I stay off for the entire week cause this horrible kingdom wants to take me away from everything I've ever known? Is that what I say?'
'Yeah something like that.'
'Dira no, anyway I'm home see ya!'

Randy very very very (very) slowly opened the door, and creeped up the stairs to his room. He opened his bedroom door and checked the time.
'Huh 5 already.'
He collapsed onto the bed and pretended to sleep for the next hour.

'Son, time to- really?'
'What?'
'You slept in your uniform?'
Randy remembered he was in his uniform.
'Um sorry?'
'Come on.'

Randy didn't shower, just brushed his teeth and put on (too much) deodorant. He walked down stairs to the kitchen table.

'Good-ahug-morning dad.' Randy yawned.
'Nice pyjamas.'
'Shut up.'
'I still can't believe you done that.'
'I think it's smart.'
'Don't say that, you'll encourage him.'
'Like a loving father should?'
'Ughggh.'
Randy very lazily, tried to pour a bowl of cereal.
'You're uh missing the bowl.' Randys father said as condescendingly as he could.
'Wa-UGH.' Randy then poured the rest of the milk into the bowl.
'Instead of doing-that, you should be worrying about that dance thing.'
'The what?'
'That thing you do at the end of the year?'
'Ohhh ok.'
'wAIT WHAT THATS THIS WEEK?'
'No need to shout and yes, I assume you've not got anything for it.'
'I don't have any money.' Randy started crying into its bowl of cereal.
'Don't worry, I'll get you a suit, and don't worry, I'll go with a classic suit.'
'Thank god, you're a life saver.'
It's almost 7, come on.'
Randy hearing this, drank his cereal and darted upstairs grabbed his bag and ran out the door.
'Love you!'
'You too!'

Randy started running to Leah's house, which was and 5 minutes away. He knocked on the door.

'Yo I'm here Leah!' Randy exclaimed, in his most girly voice.
'What do you-oh hi Randy, hold on.'
'LEAH! GET YOU WORTHLESS ASS DOWN HERE, YOU FRIEND IS HERE!'
'Hold on!'
Leah ran down the stairs and walked out the door.
'See you after school!'
'Yeah what ever just don't fu-'
She looked at Randy.
'Mess it up like your brother, you might be a drain, but you're not him.'
Leah turned and stomped off.

'Ugh why does she always do that? She knows how I feel about him! I hATE HER!'
'Hey it's ok, you're brother was good, she just can't see it-'
'Just like the rest of this stupid town.'
'Hey come on, I saw it, Dira saw it and my parents saw it, you're not alone, AND  you're not worthless-'
'Don't say that, I knows I am and SHE likes reminding me.' Leah spat out she like it was poison.
'No, you're not, you're amazing and you're idiot mother didn't even finish high school so what does she know, she's just jealous of you.'
'Me, really.'
'Yup, Dira and like even Heni would say the same thing.'
'Heh I guess, well I do have better friends.'
'And you know it! Come on let's go and get the other point of this little triangle!' Randy and Leah started running all the way to Dira's house, which was 30 an hour away.'

'Ok-huh huh huh let's get Dira.' Randy breathed through his nose.'
Leah half heartedly chapped the door.
'Who-oh you two, come in!'
'Why thank you.' Randy jokingly bowed and walked in, Leah sighed and walked in thanks Dira's mum for letting them in.
'Hey you two, I'm almost ready.' Dira called from upstairs.
About 2 minutes later Dira bounced down the stairs and dragged her friends out the door.
'Bye parent!'
'Love you!'

'So did you two know about the dance?'
'Yeah.'
'Of course.'
'So am I the only person who forgot.'
'Randy we reminded you for like a year.'
'My hearing isn't good.'
'Ugh, hey look.'
Leah pointed to the river.
'Woah.' Dira was amazed. One of the steam boats. Rare.
Randy jumped into the banister and started waving.
'They can't see us.'
'I'd like to think they can.'
'Anyway let's continue walking.' Leah pulled on Randy and Dira and they started walking.
'So thinking of taking anyone to the dance.'
'Hell no.'
'I'm think about either Drew or Cara, I haven't picked.'
'Really, Drew?'
'He's cute, but kind of an ass, not like Cara, she's kind and pretty.'
'Ok so you're taking Cara.'
'What about you Leah?'
'God knows, probably the first person that asks, what about you?'
'Like I said, hell no.'
'Really, you don't have eyes for Sam?'
'Whatever do you mean? Randy asks as innocently as he could.
'Come on, the entire school has seen the eyes you give him, and don't play innocent, you know what I mean.'
'Hell no, he's going with Heni and as much as I hate her guts, I don't steal.'
'Gross, how does a good guy like that go with Heni?'
'Honestly, I don't know, probably witchcraft.' Dira chirped in.
'Have you heard that rumour that Heni's mum is a Black Capital Watcher?'
'DIRA not so loud, and no I haven't.'
'Yeah apparently she was talking to the tower.'
'Holy sh- no way. Who saw?'
'Ben.'
'Has to be true, he can't lie, not since he got the chip.'
'And apparently Heni is trying to bribe him, saying the chip failed.'
'Holy.'
'I know.'
'You two shut up, she's right there.' Randy pointed to the gait. And there she was, a large crowed around her.
'Come on.'
Randy, Dira and Leah tried to sneak past them, until someone pointed them out.
'Crap.'
'It's my three favourite losers!'
'Shut up.'
'Ohh so angry Randy, whys that? Not got a date, not since I took yours? Hahhahsha!' Heni burst into laughter and then abruptly stopped.
'That doesn't matter, all I care about is who your new friend is.'
'What?'
'The person you've been talking to recently, the one who had you enter the shadiest part of town.'
'No idea what you're talking about.'
'Don't play dumb.'
'I'm nOT TELLING YOU!' Randy screamed. Heni stepped back.
'So so so angry, must have liked that Sam a lot, sorry boo first come first serve.' Heni walked away laughing.
