Sleepless nights,
I dare not dream.
Fearful that thoughts of you,
Will consume me.
I have tried, yet I’ve fallen still.
Is there no hope for me?
Can we never go back to the days,
Of smiles, and laughs, and holding hands?
Will my fondest memories simply become echoes of what could have been,
What should have been?
Can you hear my desperate cries?
Do they reach you?
Through the night’s eternal dark?
Can you hear me call your name?
When I finally fall into dreamland?
It’s you I dream of,
Even now.
You’re still my everything.
The one I wish I still had.
