Star's Pov

I quickly left the classroom as soon as I heard the bell rang, indicating the end of fifth period. It felt like eternity sitting in evey class, trying to ignore the look of curiousity that students and teachers were sending my way. It's my second year in high school and I still couldn't get used to it. I just simply hate being the center of everyone's attention.

I sighed for the third time and continued walking towards my locker to get what I needed for the next class. I quickly switched my Algebra 2 textbook to World History, lightly slamming my locker close. I could already feel my face actually starting to get hotter as I try to contain my frustration. God, when will these people stop staring at me?!

I slipped my ear phones in my ear to try to calm myself down and of course to block all the noise in the hallways as I try to make my way for sixth period. Listening to classic old songs is one of the things that helps calm myself and I have always been a fan of old songs ever since I was young. One of the major reasons why I started listening to these songs is because of my lovely mother who passed away almost five years ago now. Crap, I should stop before I start tearing up again. I bit my lip, to try to contain the tears that are begging to fall from my eyes.

I continued my way to class when I sudenly felt a person's arm hanging on my shoulder. I looked over to my right side and of course it had to be one of the person I was also trying to avoid in this school. "Hey, doll boy!" she smirked, earning giggles from her other friends. "H-Hey" I replied, trying my best to act nice. I lifted her arms away from me as nicely as I can and quickly ran inside the classroom. "Awh, Don't be like that!" she shouted, still laughing. The bell rang and she said her goodbyes to her friend. I don't really remember her name but she's always showing up wherever I go and it's starting to get on my nerves. She's been trying to be friends with me for weeks but I'm not really good with people like her.

"Here she comes" I murmured under my breath. "You're so adorable!" she exclaimed , pinching my cheeks. Again, I don't need anymore people staring at me. Why is this girl so obsessed with me?! She have so many friends already. I muttered a small thank you and lightly removes her hand away from my face. I really wish people respects my privacy a little bit more, I sighed.

Students started taking taking their seats as Mr. Riley got up from his chair and started writing the lessons for this week. "Class, be quiet" he shouted to the group of loud students. Some ignored him and some put their mobile phones away and took out their notes and I did the same. The middle aged man shook his head as he continues writing today's topic in the blackboard.

"So have you thought about it?" the blonde girl from earlier asked, tapping my shoulder. I turned around to tell her for the last time that I don't have time to do what she has asked me to do a few days ago. She had asked me to model for her cosmetology class, I politely refused her so many times but she would not give up and continues to annoy me every single day. She told me that I'm the best candidate out there.

"But you would look so adorable with make up on and stylish clothes!" she replied, giving me a puppy eye look. Her golden blonde hair fell smoothly from her shoulder, her baby blue eyes reminded me of my nephew Keejay and I my heart "awed" a little. Why does she have to remind me one of the people that I adore so much?

"but I-I'm a guy and wouldn't people think that's a bit w-weird?" I said to her. I turned around and started writing the topics in my notebook that our sixth period teacher wrote, hoping the girl behind me would get a clue from that.

"Ugh! Not if it's you! People would kill to see you in a cute outfit!" she shouted, earning a few glares from our classmates. "Be quiet Ms. Grey if you don't want another detention!" Mr. Riley exclaimed. His voice cracked a little and I held myself from laughing but that didn't stop others from laughing as loud as they could, especially the blonde girl behind me.

"I-I really don't think it's a good idea" I said, one more time. I don't want to risk it, I'm already getting all the unnecessary attention, I don't want to add more stuff on my plate. Also, I don't want all people to start looking at me differently. Especially my love ones.

"Ugh! whatever I'm not going to give up yet" she rolled her eyes and started scrolling down on her phone. I turned around and sighed, Mr. Riley started with his long and boring lesson that I thought will never end but an hour later I was relieved hearing the sound of the bell. Ugh! An hour more and I am finally out of here. I just really want to go home, it has been such a long day.

-

I got home and my lips stretched into a big wide smile as my nephew ran towards me to give me a hug. I picked him up, ignoring his heavy weight and gave him a peck on a cheek earning the most adorable giggle from him. I love this kid so much, I feel like I am raising my bestfriend. I put him down and he ran towards my cousin. Why does he run like that? I laughed to myself. Kids are so odd, I mean it is normal I guess. I took off my converse and put my book bag aside, mentally noting to do my homework later.

"Hey Star, How's school?" my cousin asked as I watch him change Keejay's shirt. He's really getting bigger now, soon he will be five and start day care. I smiled at my cousin and sat beside him at the couch. I smiled as I continued watching him try to make the ugliest face he can, I guess it works because Keejay seemed to be enjoying it.

"It was okay" I lied. "You have work today?" I asked, changing the subject. He looked at me, squinting his eyes as if he was trying to read me. He has such a beautiful silver eyes, no wonder Keejay looks like this. I mean of course, he received some of his mom's genes as well but I don't want to talk about that or even bring up her name because Ron can be realy scary when he gets pissed off and hearing her name alone will make his whole vibrant mood into something you don't even want to know.

"Yes, and I have evening classes after. Take care of Keejay for me?" Ron asked, giving me a puppy look. I rolled my eyes at him but I'd do it anyways, he knows how much I love spending time with his son. "Thanks! You're the best!" he said, kissing me on the cheek. I pushed him away and glared at him, telling him I'm too old for kisses and it just looks weird. My cousin just burst in laughter and took off after telling Keejay to be a good boy while he's gone. Keejay kissed his dad goodbye and I couldn't help myself to tear up a little bit because of how happy I am to have a family like them.

Ron was only nineteen when he had Keejay. It was tough for him because his girlfriend ran away from him and he wasn't financially stable to raise a child so my family helped him until he can get on his feet again. Since then Ron has been like a brother to me, having him and Keejay around has helped me learned so much more about life. It was five years ago when he decided to move out with me after my mom has passed away and because my dad was away because of his current job.

Ron is my uncle's adopted son, we grew up together and has known each other our entire life. When my uncle passed away, my mom took Ron to be part of the family. Losing both of our parents has made us closer to each other and no matter how much we might argue about a lot of things, it won't change the fact that I love him and Keejay.

I sighed and chuckled as I help the blue eyed fluff to stand up. I'm not sure how many times he'd done so in the past ten minutes. "You okay?" I asked, fixing his clothes.

"I'm kay!" he nodded and went back to playing with his toys. "Okay, Try not to trip too much" I said and made my way the kitchen to make both of us something to eat.
