Jake had no idea of what one thirty meant. He also had no idea of what time it was. He was grateful that his arm would be fixed within days. In 2013, it would have taken months to get better and they almost certainly would have amputated the arm.
He supposed there was nothing to do but wait. He pulled out his tablet. The web page said it was May 22, 2286 4:30PM. He pulled up a game he had loaded on it before he left 2013. At least he would have a couple of hours of entertainment. At 7:30 dinner came. He was expecting the old lady but it was a robot. Not too different from the ones he had seen before in 2152. He ate it and checked the time on his tablet. He noticed that the power level was down to 7%. Now that was a big problem! He had forgotten the charger and there were no electrical outlets in the 23rd century. He decided he'd better turn the tablet off all the way so that he'd still have power to return home.
During the week he had been unconscious someone had installed a catheter to empty his bladder into a plastic bag. It looked nearly completely empty. He deduced that the robot must have emptied it. The bag was strapped to his leg and there were no obvious toilets around so he tried to get up with it. He expected to be extremely weak but that didn't seem to be the case. Perhaps he had been given some new drugs to keep him strong during his period of unconsciousness. He got up
