Emily's p.o.v:
I fluttered my eyes open. They burned from the bright daylight shining through my open window. Hissing I tried to roll so I wouldn't burn my precious eyes but, to my luck, fell flat on my butt. Ow.I faintly hear my Kirsty chuckling. She stood resting on my doorframe.
"Your mum says breakfast is ready. Get you âss off the floor and come down" she smirks.
"Nice to see you too k." I say sarcastically. She rolls her eyes. Ripping my sheets away from me, leaving me on the floor.
----------------------•-------------------------------------------------------------"Hey mom" I greet as I walk into the kitchen.
"Morning sweet heart. Can you-" she starts before I cut her off
"Set the table? Already done" I say as I finish up. She smiles cheerfully at me.Mum and I have always been close. Ever since dad left us four years ago for his secretary and there one year old son, we've been inseparable.
I get all my best traits from mum, my raven coloured hair, my deep blue eyes, my fiery attitude. Some people ask me if she's my sister, and if your wondering it's not awkward.
Kirsty, the girl who woke me is my best friend since forever.
Kirsty comes over every morning. Her foster family hates her, and treat her like shît, so we basically treat her like my sister. She doesn't stay the night though, as her foster family need her for chores.
"Let's eat" I holler, causing everyone to nod in approval. We all sit and begin to enjoy the bacon and eggs mum prepared this morning.
After a few minutes mum had stopped eating. She just sat there now, looking between me and Kirsty.
"Everything ok mum?" I ask, concern rising in my voice.
"Honey I have some good news to share with you" she grins, her smile lighting up her face. She has the most radiant smile, which I happily inherited from her."Share it Jane" Kirsten encourages.
"Well..... I got a new job!" She beams.I smile from ear to ear. Mum had been waiting for this for months
"That's awesome mum" I congratulate.
"That means we have to move though. I've decided on a lovely new apartment on the north side of town" mum says cheerfully.Even though I don't want to move because I'll be further away from Kirsty, we will be closer to school. Plus this is a huge thing for mum so we're all going to have to suck it up and make do.
-----------------------------•---------------------------•--------------------------After getting ready for the day in my comfiest sweat pants and an oversize shirt, my usual attire, I grabbed some money from the counter and kissed mum goodbye.
"Bye mum. Have a great day. Thanks for breakfast" I blurt as I ran out the door.--------------------------•-------------------------------•-------------------------
Arriving at school I got my usual glares from people.
I made my ways through the halls until I found k. She was off flirting with another mindless jock and his friend.
"Come on" I say, linking our arms and directing her to her locker to grab her things for the first few periods.
"Aww." She pouts, silently pleading to go back to them.
"Those boys are tacking up to much space in your brilliant head. Besides your way too good for them" I say and she flips her hair."Dâmn right we are!" She yells.
"We?" I ask.
"Yes we. We're not going over this again are we?" She scolds, folding her arms like a mom would when their child is in trouble.
"I'm invisible k. Besides I'm too ugly and 'look like a dude' to ever have any of them like me" I shrug, leaving for first period.----------------•-------------------------------------------------------------------
I have always been like this.
I always buy men's clothes or oversize/ sweat style clothes. I've never liked girls clothes since I find them showy and rather ugly on my body. The girls in high school have always told me how ugly me and my body are.
Thus, why I began to wear my type of clothes. Though that has its disadvantages too. People joke around about me being a guy or say things like 'oops I thought you were a dude' or 'what does she have against girls clothes?'.
Now I just ignore them all. Especially Cara millers. She is the most popular girl at our school. She is quite pretty too. It's a shame though 'cause her attitude is worse than a swines. I tried to tell her once too, though she just backhanded me and told me how worthless I am.
---------------------•--------------------------------------------------------------
Lunch finally came around.
I looked for Kirsty but saw she had decided to sit with another group of people.
Deciding the library was the best place to go I headed off down the halls, heading for the abandoned west wing library.
Suddenly I fell flat on my âss.
"Ow that's the second time today!" I groaned in pain.Getting back up I brush off the dirt and look around. I see cara and her friends laughing at me and high fiving the guy who so rudely knocked me over and never apologised.
Trying not to look like a fool I kept on my way. Determinedly heading straight to the library.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The library was empty as always. I smile at the librarian, Janice, and go to my favourite spot up the back. I pick up the next book on the shelf, after the last one I read. It's the play hamlet by Shakespeare.
I read the pages of the book, following on the best I can. My imagination trying its hardest to picture the story in my head, but failing miserably.
"Excuse me miss. I can't help but wonder if you know where I can find another copy of that book for English?" A deep, slightly raspy voice asks.
"Top shelf. Mid way" I say thoughtlessly, never looking up.
"thankyou" he says. I look up and blush, seeing a smirking Sebastian Ryder looking down at me. All I can do is nod.

A/N
Ok, so now we know how she's treated, how she already feels about Seb and a little about her life. Bravo.Sorry it kinda sucked but it was a filler. Also I tried my hardest to find people to play them for you guys but it is seriously so hard. None of them really fit what I want, so you guys can vote on who you want it to be. Also if you can find any pictures of apartments that have Windows across from each other that would be great.
Please be patient with this story. It will all unfold, I promise. Just hang tight.
Love you all,
-Alex xx
P.s 1120 words. ;) feeling proud.
