A Pure Heart

Chapter 18

Dom slept in the chair as he held Letty's hand. He felt something tug at his hand. He immediately woke up to find the raven's eyes fluttering open.
"Good morning beautiful," Dom said as he caressed her hand.
"What happened to me? Why am I here? Where's Antonia?" Letty cried frantically.
"Letty, I need you to stay calm okay... You fainted when we found out that Antonia got kidnapped..." Dom said softly. "Why did they have to take my baby? Dom, we have to find her! What if she's hurt or in pain?" Letty said through her tears. Dom took a seat on the side of the bed and wrapped his arms around his lover as she sobbed into his chest. "We're going to find her. I promise," Dom said while kissing her forehead. "Why did this happen to us?" Letty asked as she slowly started to calm down. "I don't know Letty, but I got Brian on it. He works for the LAPD. If you gotta find somebody, he's the guy to do the job. I trust him," Dom assured her. "I just want her home with us," Letty said softly as she cuddled up to Dom. "I do too."

After a few minutes, the doctor entered. "I got your test results back! Everything is normal! You and your wife are free to go home. Try to take it easy for the next few days. I must say that you have a wonderful husband that cares a lot about you. I pray you two will find your daughter soon." The doctor said before leaving.

"Is it just me or was he referring to us as a married couple?" Letty said with a puzzled expression. Dom smirked and kissed her forehead. "You never thought about being Mrs. Toretto, huh?" Dom said softly. Letty blushed and looked down at her lap. "I actually have. That's why I gave Antonia your last name. I hoped that one day I could be your wife." Letty said softly as tears formed in her eyes. Dom picked her head up and kissed her lips. "You'll be my wife one day." Dom kissed her lips again then smiled at her "I love you, Letty. And I love Antonia too. I promise I will find her and bring her back home safely." He assured her. Letty smiled sweetly.

 "I know you will." 

After a few minutes of being in one another's embrace, Dom got up and helped Letty get dressed. They were preparing to leave when Linda entered the room. "Letty! You get to go home! I'm so happy you're doing better," Linda said before wrapping her arms around her sister. The woman pulled away. She was shocked to the raven scowling furiously. "What's with that fa-"

A palm swiped harshly at her features, the configuration of a hand imprinted on her cheek. She put a hand to the sudden strikingly painful area, wincing at the throbbing of her skin.

"That's for telling Antonia about Dom, and not telling me," Letty hissed before stomping out, vexation in each step. 

"Ow! That bitch!" Linda said, forgetting that Dom remained in the room.

"Be lucky that it was her that slapped you and not me. I want to slap the shit out of you for telling Antonia the way you did. You had no right to do that, we should have been the ones to tell her. You better hope that after we find Antonia that she forgives you!" Dom spat before repeating the same reaction as Letty. He spotted Letty in the hallway.
"Hey, you okay?" Dom said while looking down at her.
"Yeah... I'm good, She's just lucky I didn't give her a new nose." Dom chuckled and gave her a kiss.
"Come on. Let's take you home so you can rest," Dom said as he took the woman's hand. the two walked to the car and drove home. As they pulled up at the house Brian came running outside. "You two need to come see this! We just got a video sent to your house of Antonia. Dom and Letty traded worried glances before rushing inside after Brian. They saw a laptop on the kitchen table. Brian sat in front of it as Dom and Letty stood behind him.

Dom P.O.V.

I stayed close to Letty, not knowing what we were getting ready to watch. I prayed that my daughter was still alive and okay. Then I saw Antonia on the screen with a black eye, a busted lip and a cut on the side of her head. Tears rolling down her face. Then my eyes glace at the sign that was placed on her lap. "Pay me back my money, If you want to see your daughter alive." My blood boiled with anger. Letty began to sob. I pulled her into a hug, then we heard a familiar yet small voice speak "Mami, Daddy, I've been kidnapped by a guy named Hobbs. Daddy, you have three days to give ten million you owe to Hobbs. Please DON'T INVOLVE THE COPS! If you do he said he'll kill me." The soft and fearful voice spoke. "Can I say something to my parents, please? Antonia asked the people in front of her that Dom, Letty, and Brian could not see. Antonia took a deep breath then spoke. " Yo tengo mi cruz Puesta, Pero tu' no lo Puedes ver, Porque Esta' Bajo mi Camisa y tu' la Puedes usar para saber do'nde Estoy, y hazlo pronto Porque e'ste Tipo Quiere matarme." 

(I have my cross on me, but you can't see it because It's under my shirt. You can use it to find me. I suggest you do it fast cause this guy wants to kill me.)

The video ended and Letty sobbed more and she fell to her knees as she gripped my shirt. I caught her and held her tight trying to stay strong for her and Antonia. Then Letty started to calm down. 

She looked at me and said, " What cross necklace is she talking about?" 

"I gave Antonia a cross necklace as an early birthday gift. She reminded me that it has a tracking device on it. If this works, we can have our daughter home soon. I just have to go to my house to get the tracker." I said to Letty "I'm coming with you" Letty said firmly. 

"No, you two won't be able to get past the street. There are reporters and newscast waiting for you guys. Just stay here and get the money together. I'll call my chief and tell him what we got so we can have some backup without them knowing." Brian spoke.

End of P.O.V.

"Brian, You have you a son right. Now imagine someone took him from you. He has cuts and bruises and pain. Terror is written all over his face... And the only way to know if his alive is through a video. And the only way to save him is a tracking device. Would you be worried about reporters and newscast if you were able to get your son back to you faster?" Letty spoke with a hint of pain and sorrow in her tone. Brian rubbed the back of his neck and put his head down for a few seconds. He looked back at the hurt mother.
"I'm sorry... I understand. I'll go with you guys. Dom's house is under surveillance and you're going to need me to get you guys through the crowd." 

The three then rushed to the car, Dom driving with Letty by his side and leaving Brian in the back.
