Consequences

We encountered a small village, no more like a really big farm on our way home from a mission though we were completely exhausted we thought that we could maybe ask to sleep in the barn but the closer we got we all felt more unease about the place. It was late but the sun had not yet gone down yet, but not a sound of anyone could be heard from what looked like the main house. Though tired we was still fit for fight, the closer the door we got the more we could see bright shine from the porch floor, the yellow sun was reflecting on the liquid blinding us completely.

The door was half opened with blood around the handle like someone had tripped inside and the simmering that was on the porch was blood as well. Musket and Olivia was to search the aria while i was to investigate the house. Not even needed to open the door any further i could see a pair of shoes with someone still in them, must be the one who fell. I don't know if i will ever be used to see dead body's but even so i could not count how many i have already seen. The house was empty but not necessarily dusty so this could not had happen that long time ago maybe a day?

I met up with Musket outside, he had found five more body's in the barn with some dead cattle, waiting on Olivia become fast a slight worry and soon we discovered a new simmer coming not long from where we were standing. In the grass spot where the shimmer came from was full of shards of glass, like her glass, Cinder. I took a big chunk of the dark glass and put it in my pocket, this was the first sign and lead that we had ever seen from Cinder sense she disappeared but now we were really worried.

Me and Musket quickly searched for Olivia and found her in the end of the road opposite from the one we had come from. She was sitting on her knees with a man resting his head on her lap, with him there where two more but they were already dead and the man on the lap was badly wounded. Around them was even more glass and Olivia told us that she knew that this was Cinders doing, there was no trace of Grimm. The man's last word before he passed was to save the girl, me and Musket didn't know what he was talking about but Olivia told us what he had told her before.

- A young girl had come to their farm one day who they had let in for food and rest for both her and her horse, sadly the girl said that she couldn't stay any longer and really needed to be on her way. The girl had been on her way when hours after a group of three came to the farm as well, two women and one young man. They wanted to know where the girl was and would not listen when they said that she was not there anymore and threaten them.

We all had seen the result of what that led to, Olivia blamed herself and so did Musket. They were not there to fight with me in the woods. I told them that it's not their fault and that no one could have predicted what were to happened and if there is anyone's fault it was mine, i was the one who weren't able to bring her back and this is the consequences of my failure. I put my halberd on my back again.

-Who ever that girl is we know that Cinder is after her which means that we will need to get to that girl first before Cinder dose.

Olivia and Musket agreed and we were on our way. Up the road we could only hear echoing around the trees what sounded like fighting but when we got there everything was over. Qrow had fend Cinder and the outer two away and was now holding who we only could guess was the girl the man in the farm was talking about. Qrow told us that this was the maiden of fall and that she needed medical care immediately, we followed him back to beacon to get the maiden of fall to safety.

We were so close to Cinder this time, this was the first time we had gotten an led but we missed her with just matter of seconds though i know she was watching us out there with the maiden. Back at beacon i decided to have a real talk with Olivia and Musket about what to do with Cinder. Musket was first with opening his mouth.

-I know we all want to get Cinder back but if she will continue murdering and spared chaos like at the farm then maybe we are already too late.

Olivia kept quiet and was staring at me looking from an reaction also i think she wanted an answer on what Musket just had said. It had been a long time sense we graduated and we had fought a lot of different bandits and Grimm even rare ones that had never been seen before. But i had all sow thought about what Musket had said, what if it is too late for us to bring her back?

-If that would be true and Cinder could not change back, i would have to deal with her, if Cinder becomes too big of a threat, i will shot her down myself.

Musket looked surprised of what i had said and Olivia turned her eyes to the floor.

-But could you do it? Olivia said with a hollow voice.

-What?

-Would you be able fight her? Both me and Musket knows how much she meant to you Asura us too, Will you fight or will you try to take her back? Getting hurt or even worse in the process? What will happen when you actually comes face to face with her again?
