"Are you alright, unnie?" asked Dahyun softly to the older one, who was staring outside the window of the moving vehicle. Clearly she didn't want Nayeon to be this way, since it was her birthday.
Nayeon faced her and forced a weak smile. "Of course, Dahyun-ah, why wouldn't I be?"
"Well, you don't seem that energetic today," she reasoned, patting her unnie's head. "I thought you'd be extra hyper today because it's your birthday, but you were a little down the whole time we were there."
"Agreed," said Jeongyeon, who sat beside Dahyun in the van, not looking up from her phone. "I think some of the fans noticed you were a bit, well, sad." Chaeyoung gave a grunt of approval, and Sana nodded with her lips pouted.
"I'm not sad, I'm not supposed to be sad." Nayeon tried to sit up and look like her normal self again. "It's my birthday, nobody should be sad."
Dahyun raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure?"
"Yes, I'm sure."
"You're bluffing," Jeongyeon stated.
"What? I'm not."
"She's bluffing," Chaeyoung agreed.
"What are you talking about? I'm not bluffing."
"Your eyes tell otherwise, Nayeon, don't lie to us." Jeongyeon still kept her eyes glued to her phone. Jeongyeon knew her so well, it was creepy.
"It's not that," Nayeon denied. She just sighed, but still kept on smiling. "I'm fine guys, really. Okay, I wasn't fine a while ago, but I'm okay now."
Dahyun looked at her, and she smiled. "There's our unnie." She smiled back, and even crinkled her nose. She appreciated how the TWICE members constantly made efforts to cheer her up.
