Karthick's pov:

Since last week I have been spending all my nights in Aadhira' house. It became a routine for me I would reach Aadhira's house at 9.30 pm after finishing my work she too would have returned home from office. We would have dinner together and start to watch a film with siddu daily.

We would start watching a film brisk but end up sleeping in the half and again wake up at the end to switch off the t.v and go to sleep in respective rooms.

Ok ...for god sake that is not your house!
Reminded my brain...

Well I shall end up in guest room and siddu will sleep with me and in the middle of the night a sleeping angel will accompany us in the bed.
We have to started to act as a perfect family!
My dramatic brain said the last part happily

I have to concentrate on my work now they are so many files pending.I sighed loudly again checking the time it's only 3pm.
There are still 8 hours for dinner!

My phone ringed displaying as' mom' calling.

"Hello mom..."

"You remember right?"
Yah I remember I should reach Aadhira's house for dinner.

'Stoppp it now!'
I said to my stupid brain.

"What mommy?" I asked innocently.

"Karthick...."
She sounded annoyed.

"Sorry mom this stupid son doesn't remember anything!"
All the constables around me were trying to hide their laugh so bad.

I got up and went near the window.

"Today I have a new book releasing event for your kind information can you inform my son named Karthick to attend the function as my son and not as ACP sir will you?" She was pissed.
Ok..that's my drama queen to you.

"Sure will do that mam don't worry your son will be there at perfect timing..."
I said with a smile.

"Thank you sir. Will see my son there "
She said mockingly.

"Ok mom bye..."

With that she disconnected the call.

It was 6:10 pm already when I finished my works. I got to hurry otherwise tomorrow I might alongside the vegetable that she adds in her dish.

I reached my flat in another 15 min and got ready in normal clothes as mom prescribed.

I was feeling so good that I am going to my mom third book release function.

It's hard you know sometimes you just miss your personal time so much in these jobs. It has become a behaviour for me to have gun on my waist band always. But today I want to there as her son and not as some ACP.

I reached the fair soon enough and found the small decorated area where mom will realising her book I walked near it to find Ranjith anna and anni.
I gave a hug to them as I did not visit my home one whole damn week.

Rangith anna started his ramayan that
"Today at least find a hot girl and end up with her man. I hate to see you with this sulking face!"
For which he yearned a elbow kick from anni.

"Looking good in casuals Karthick"
She said.

"Thanks anni..."(sister in law)
I replied..
And "don't try to find any girl cause me and mom will soon catch a beautiful bride for you"
She said happily.

"Oh not happening!"
I said with a smile.

And I had to console my mom for another 10 minutes saying some Mr.bean stories that I went to buy paint I was late and ended up in my flat for a whole damn week. My best guess is she knows I am doing something.
